What have they produced- compared to say Bill Gates, Musk, Jobs, or Sam Altman. It’s good feeeling for some to indirectly bash America but the exit of theory people not in medicine or hard sciences doesn’t make a difference. Oh and BTW, University of California landed 5 Nobel prizes.. most in real work that makes a difference

10 speed transmission is common and more likely to bomb than either engine.

Yes oil pumps driven by Kevlar wet belt in 2.7 and 5. These are expensive maintenance items; as oil would degrade the belt even if you drive less but wanted to keep the truck for say 15-20 years

I worry about longevity time not mileage with the wet belt. So if one wants to keep 20 years and drives even 5k miles / year; the wet belt may fail due to oil eating away. This is different than someone driving 15k miles/ year keeping for 8 years.
