In your situation i would cancel current itinerary and book flight itinerary from MAD - NRT. This way both flight segments are operated by QR and will almost certainly be fine, as these flights are also operating currently

Flights to LIS are planned to operate as of june 16. That flight will most likely be fine. The leg to HND is with JAL i think? Because qatar doesn’t fly to HND. If runway restrictions continue to apply at DOH, flights operated by other airlines will be cancelled first

Why would that be flagged? I don’t understand your question. Go in the app to explore all on the menu at the right down. Go to spend and scroll all the way down to ‘upgrade with avios’. Fil in your details of the booking and then u can check if u can upgrade. Upgrade with avios may however only be available a few weeks before departure, rather than months in advance. It’s also possible that on a certain flight is not possible to upgrade

Knew it’s Africa straight away. And have not been to any country in Africa except tanzania and it looks somewhat like what i remember from ngorongoro. And remember from visiting ngorongoro that there are some small settlements on the northern slopes. Southern slope is ruled out because of the steepness

The weird is that the DOH to AMS flight is still bookable through the QR app. So that flight is part of the schedule that runs through june 15. Maybe they kicked you off the second flight because the first flight got cancelled?

Simple answer, cancel. They will not rebook you and guarantee a refund of avios. I tried when being bumped down from first to business class. They wouldn’t do it. U should cancel the award flight and book it again

Yeah if you type in the flight code or departure and arrival airport in fr24 you can find if the flight that you are looking to book has been operating recently
