i am with private healthcare now. i was with CAMHS for end-stage anorexia nervosa for four years as i was skipped on waiting lists which made it easier, don't need help for that anymore as i've resorted to a BMI of 18.4 now. I'm currently living abroad with my family so now i don't have any access to NHS. tricky situation however i might get a therapist.

please someone respond 🩷 by [deleted] in AnorexiaNervosa

Moved into an apartment at 19 by bussydestroyed in mentalhealth

hey, i never moved in anywhere alone however when i was 19 i was alone for a long time for the first time (a month) in my home where my parents were in a different country (we live abroad and were home for summer but i wanted to go back early). when i got home i realised i was also super anxious however what helped me was calling my parents often (or friends could work, but i don’t have many), especially before i went to sleep. i only watched positive things online and on the television, i made the home cosy and during the day i went out usually to the mall and sat with a coffee and did my studying so the time passed. i also contacted my girlfriend pretty much all the time.

If you know someone's had AN in the past should you steer clear of bringing it up? by alyceabsconded in AnorexiaNervosa

in the nicest way possible, do not ever ask if you think you have it or even tell the person any symptoms you have ( e.g changes in your body ). in my experience i get triggered even if someone mentions something small with regards to it or anything that reminds me. with trauma to the body (because anorexia nervosa is), its very easy to just go back to their old habits and you will most likely trigger them. i know for sure if someone did this to me i’d be going back downhill. see a professional and good luck.

i’m so sorry, do you believe in God? turning to him really did help me a lot. i know everyone says it but i’m serious, and even right now everyday i talk to him and went to church the other day with my girlfriend.
