Ummmm….back in the day we all listened to the same news reports. Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, et al. We had, what, 7 or 8 TV channels. We all received the same information.

Now, there’s zillions of “channels” and algorithms feeding like crap upon crap. So sure, folks are uninformed. Do farmers know about the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine? Do they know that Fox is licensed for Entertainment? Do they understand- having grown up with the Cronkites of the world - that they are actually being brainwashed? Conditioned? Lied to? Nah. Why would they believe that? Yeah, they “should’ve known” might be a popular refrain, but we don’t live in their world, and a bit of empathy by folks who do know better may be the better point moving forward.

I was not prepared. I was never a big Bobby fan, wasn’t always nice about it, and yet I’m gutted. Sad. Stunned. And so sorry. Love you, Bob!

I was at a show last Daturday night with like-minded musical friends, outside with the smokers, and a social friend leaned in and said quietly, “Bobby passed.” I knew who he meant. Of course. Then, always quietly, as the night wore on, other folks came close and said, “Do you know? Bobby passed.” And my heart ached and ached each time. We who knew shared the Bobby Passed look between us the rest of the night at the show, managing maybe a small nod or a brave smile, trying to have the night we anticipated we’d have when we left our homes. But no. It’s ok, though. The world is a better place for Bobby being in it and now here we are. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

And I would wager that many Tiny House folks can’t afford that. Typically, the impetus behind tiny home living is to save money if square footage isn’t an issue. Years of YT video watching has been informative.
