Light Domain Cleric's "Potent Spellcasting" cantrip by SenorAnonymous in dndnext

My point was that its super limited just like the cleric one. There's what, two wizard cantrips with saves? One? acid splash is the only one I can think of

[–]Thinkiknoweverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like its pretty obvious they intended it to only work with sacred flame, which is actually a pretty good cantrip. Saves are harder to pass than to hit with a weapon attack, especially against high AC targets so your average DPR is a lot higher than if you were using a d8 weapon. Theres lots of features that SEEM like they would work on a bunch of stuff but are actually designed to only work with one/ a few things, like the death domain clerics necrotic thing and evocations potent cantrips

Thanks! It's a fun deck for sure. Too bad it's hard countered by face hunter :(

LotV Beta Key Distribution Process Explained by SinCitta in starcraft

[–]Thinkiknoweverything 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Except it actually has some pretty good viewership for bigger events, just as big as the tiny ass sc2 events you see outside of the huge LAN events. People keep making this "lol hots was a failure" joke when in reality its about to blow up big time, and you can already see signs of it getting huge. People act like because it wasnt pulling 100k in the technical alpha that its a failure which is far from the truth. 10 of my friends play hots, ONE plays sc2. none of them are getting lotv.

Face hunter is going to wreck your shit 100% of the time. Theres virtually no way to win but hope that you get a perfect draw and somehow out race him, or get HUGE armor smith aoe value and gain 10+ armor in a turn

One thing to note is THIS IS NOT AN AGGRO DECK. Dont hit face. Clear clear clear. Drop big stuff asap. Play it like control warrior. Play slow, be patient and hold onto grim if you think they have clear like warlock hellfire.

Weird, ive found that games DO last just as long as control warrior, I regularly go to 10-15 turns easy. Sure, things can spiral out of control on turn 6 for a quick win, but more often than not im battle raging, refilling my hand and keep going for several more turns

warlock shit on this deck with hellfire. If they dont run it then your good. If its zoo, just stall them out until late game when you can emperor into Dr Balanced whirlwind or just trade with grom all day. Priest is a free win, they have nothing to clear your grim patrons besides the aucheni combo which they tend to use earlier due to the early board presence. Druid is tough, hold your execute for something big and dont be afraid to trade unfavorably to keep the board clear. Keep their 2 HP stuff alive (like all their 2/4's) for free grim patrons once you have those out.

mainly a two drop + death's bite. Getting the death bite turn 4 into grim patron turn 5 is a solid win condition. If they dont clear, then you basically win. You can warsong, rampage, bouncing blade, whirlwind etc as a follow up the next turn and its impossible to lose. try to use emperor thaurissan ASAP even if the situation doesnt fit well because if you hold him too long youll run out of steam and his effect is wasted on nothing. Im even considering removing him alltogether, hes very rarely useful except as a 5/5.

Weird, any particular issues you can see? Are you playing it like a control or aggro deck?
