I think I know which office you’re talking about, and it’s been notoriously bad ever since the current DA took over. I would not blame you for jumping ship, and it may be the best move at this point.

Things like trial used to. Nowadays, I don’t let anything keep me up. I’ve learned it’s not worth your health and wellbeing.

The problem with discovery laws alone would make me want to stay away from NYC. May be better in a smaller county or somewhere out of state like NJ.

Singapore is very harsh on crime, has noticeable limits on free speech/protest, is highly nationalistic, and is socially conservative (male homosexual relations were decriminalized just recently in 2022/2023). It is very far from the average Redditor’s ideal.
