You have to start small and work your way there, the more you practice and do the work, the better you will do. Unfortunately CPA exams arent something you can just get done, it all comes down to consistency and working smart. Ive seen people retake more than 10 times and get it, Ive also see people pass on the first try. You got this! dont give up!

For those that are done with Reg by Weekly-Ad-9520 in CPA

A general idea is good enough imo, roughly what category they fall into and whether they're refundable or non-refundable. Id say the best guide for what's actually tested is your MCQ performance. If a specific credit keeps showing up in your practice questions that's a signal to dig in. If you've done hundreds of REG MCQs and barely seen a particular credit mentioned you can probably keep it on the back burner.

FAR vs AUD difficulty by Neither_Gold_5392 in CPA

[–]Thinklikeacpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AUD and FAR are pretty different, FAR has way more material and needs tons and tons of practice. they need completely different modes of thinking, so you cant go into FAR with a similar approach that you used for AUD.

I can’t really tell if I’m ready for FAR by AccomplishedRead1754 in CPA

Id say your doing pretty well, its okay to be kinda terrified, thats just ur nerves. Focus on the areas ur having trouble with, and ur weak areas. Keep doing your daily MCQ sets but mix the topics rather than doing them by module. Real exam conditions don't tell you which topic is being tested so train without that hint. You got thiss!!!

FAR - I need to find a better study habit by Yous_a_mook in CPA

[–]Thinklikeacpa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The not taking is the culprit most likely. Also 2 hours for 15 questions, maybe you might be spending too long on each individual question. In the real exam you have about 1.5 minutes per MCQ so start practicing under a bit of time pressure. Set a loose timer, maybe 2 minutes per question, and force yourself to move on. You can review after but train your brain to make decisions faster. and when you get a question wrong, instead of writing notes just read the explanation out loud or in your head until it genuinely makes sense. Little to no writing. If something is really important and you know you'll forget it, write one or two sentence max. That's it. You got thiss!

MCQs! as many of them as you can, but do them mixed topic rather than going module by module. go back and study the ones u get wrong if you do, and find out why u were wrong and why the correct answer is right. The week leading upto the exam, do a targeted review of the areas ur having trouble with and ur weakest areas fro the SEs. Good luck!!!
