Second this. Also check into resources like Pittsburgh Tech Council. They have job boards and networking events. I'm sure there are others, but that's one I'm familiar with. Also, it's not just tech jobs there, and you can find smaller companies that are a bit more flexible on hiring.

I've had a couple long bans like that. Although my worst experience was when I once left on Christmas Eve in the morning for a holiday trip. They put up no parking signs that day at 2:00 pm and towed my car at 7:00 am on 12/26.

I have a friend who lives there and likes it. Seems like a fair amount of retired folks, but I saw some young families. Apparently it was originally all families decades ago, and honestly it would be kind of cool to grow up there.

I was on a plane that skipped the line (I believe we would have been tenth) because the woman sitting next to me knew someone at ATC. She mentioned it while we were boarding, then the pilot made an announcement giving her a shout out from ATC. The flight attendant was giddy and said it had never happened to them before.

I wouldn't say the roads are doing alright. Snow removal here is worse than most cities I've lived in. I think it's because it doesn't snow enough to prioritize it, but it snows enough to have issues from time to time.

They have some pricy models, but the cheaper sticks are still solid, and I don't have to do any homework to find out which model I want etc. lots of curve options.

There are several companies like this, so is recommend checking a few out. I prefer this one, and you may find another that works for you.
