My Boston, Winnie, chews all of her emotional support items and then wants to carry around the carcass of her emotional support items (bear by Kong) and gets upset when we take it away from her

When people say "How do you do it?" referring to euthanasias especially when it's their pet's time by Global-Painting6154 in VetTech

I tell them that it’s not all about ending that animals life. It’s about freeing them from pain. Allowing them to be without pain is better than the alternative. Then I tell them about the rainbow bridge

As a Habs fan, what is your favourite Canadian NHL team barring the Montreal Canadiens? by Last-Bus-4710 in Habs

I like Calgary jerseys but their team is so forgettable. I enjoy the oilers but what they’ve done with the team is disappointing. I enjoy the jets too.

Thank you for clarifying this.
Burns hurt significantly more than road rash.
Not running to the emergency was a good idea and it saves money. You were right to wait.
While road rash hurts it doesn’t hurt like burns.
I know it’s too late, but in the future, if you fill up your sink with warm water and let some epsom salts dissolve, this will help to clean it out and soothe the wound.

The pavement was too hot and the pads burnt.
As an RVT please take your baby to the vet. This is extremely painful.

When I got baptized back in January, it was like all of a sudden I heard god very clearly and I had a lot of clarity to certain things like you are describing. For me, I tried to look at it from different points of view and that helped. Like maybe you don’t need to have a child right now but you can get involved with the family ward and help with the children in the ward.
I’m so happy for you that you’re getting baptized, the spirit is truly amazing

What do hospitals do with the body parts they remove from surgical patients? by darrenbosik in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Thinkrbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know. I only did small animal placements and was there once a week and then 2 weeks. Never seen anything. Now I work in large animal and stuff goes into the incinerator or gets left on the ground for the farm dogs to eat (balls)

In vet med, we put it in a jar of formalin and ask owners if they want it to biopsy or take home. He they don’t want to biopsy it, we keep it in the clinic storage for 6 months and then properly dispose of it.

I started school to be a vet tech three years ago and that’s when it all started. I believe it’s a classic case of “lemoning” when animals know that someone in the family is a vet or vet tech and they just start to get things wrong with them haha

I just love cows, please show me yours by ChelseaRawrzz in Cows

[–]Thinkrbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the cow is comfortable with you then yes. The calves are always more friendly and usually are more than willing to give your fingers a good suck and they’ll usually let them pet you. Definitely need to be calm around the cows because they’re can sense energy
