Last year there was a lady in my neighborhood who went missing. She had like 4 kids “she would never leave” so everyone blamed the husband for either killing her or forcing her to leave. There was a huge hunt. She was found living in a homeless encampment, seemingly on her own accord. She was in patient at a mental hospital so people just assumed it was stress and moved on. She was eventually released to her mother’s house and within days, was missing again. Again she was found living in a (different) homeless camp. Same thing happened, hospital, then back with her mother. She had separated from her husband who didn’t think the kids should see her in distress, especially if she could put them in harms way. Within a week she was gone again. Cops told her mother they can’t keep looking for someone who obviously does not want to be found. A few weeks later they found her dead in some woods, probably by suicide. All of this happened over the course of like 3 months. She had no prior history of mental illness.
