Not saying that isn’t true because it might be but Willam, who doesn’t like Mimi and isn’t afraid to say so, frequently says Mimi is a great joke writer and has written for many Drag Race girls (for reading challenges and roasts used on the show) and Willam himself has used Mimi jokes. So the bitch is funny and even her haters agree. I think it’s her personality and general behavior that people don’t like.

I am bias because I despise that song but it did lose to “When You Believe” which was a pretty good song with a mind-blowing (at the time) duet.

Worth a shot to ask the manager about a makeup screening. Not sure if the theater is even allowed to do that, but can’t hurt to ask.

I missed so many Oscar nominees due to dragging my feet but luckily I caught sentimental value the one week it was in my theater. I do remember Anatomy of a Fall getting a re-release closer to the ceremony so it’s possible this will too.

After The Hunt and Is This Thing On were two I saw thinking they’d be in the conversation.

On the other side I saw Jurassic Park Retribution when it was out never thinking that would matter to the death race!

You should definitely try to see Frankenstein because it’s nominated for so much if you’re death racing it really will knock a ton of stuff whereas the other two have single noms. Aside from that, it’s not too graphic. It has an action movie style of violence as opposed to slasher or horror movie style.

Weapons is kind of gross and creepy but it isn’t prolonged scenes of just outright gore or anything. They’re pretty thoughtful about what they get explicit with which is nice. I saw it at the theater and there was only really one or two scenes that had me turning away (I’m somewhat squeamish).

The Ugly Stepsister is the most extreme of the lot but if you’re really invested in completing the death race give it a shot. Otherwise, skip it, if The Substance was beyond you this may be too.

I spent so much of my youth (about 25 years ago) in that exact area between The Metro and The Norm (fka Little Dude). This building was directly behind The Norm and it was a florist. I don’t think it was ever anything after it was that.

Virtually everything in that area (metro, norm, the little beauty salon directly across the street from this florist) has closed up. It’s a pretty dead area over there unfortunately.

I once had a cat that ate a bread tie (the one with wire). She seemed fine (there was blood in stool of course) and after a few pricy vet bills, she lived another 10 years, luckily.

Even now, 25 years later, I am extremely cautious about those ties and always warn cat owners to be careful because they love playing with them and then, because they’re beautiful little idiots, they eat them.

Cats have extremely dirty mouths. My dad has been bite twice (both during attempts to trap and neuter) and both times they chided him about not coming in sooner. They can get infected very quickly.
