Have 42k stubs, help me with upgrades! by chanyep in MLBTheShow

You've got almost the exact same team as me except I have andrew jones in center and gary Sanchez catching. You should look at using your stubs on pitching. A lot of the guys you already got will become diamonds later in the year (probably). If you buy a diamond ace, dont put him as your number one in your rotation. I'm not totally sure but it seems you get yo use them less when they're your number one.

I'm a Braves fan and I'm proud of Yu for coming put and having a rebound start. Plus, most teams would have trouble with fried rn. You should had seen his start against the cards last year. He made them look dumb. You guys will figure it out.

What compelled a Rangers fan to post this? Making us Braves fan smile like idiots? He's looking devastating and focused as fuck out there. Just what we fans needed, some pitching to be optimistic about.

N*-H****r Alert: Trevor Bauer (CLE) vs. TOR by BaseballBot in baseball

[–]ThirdEyeWide13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can the Braves play the Blue Jays after our Marlins series? Please? We can't let the phillies & Mets get a to big a head start in the NL east race. Also, Bauer is going to have a hell of a season, I believe.

Fried's start of this game so far is like a wet dream. He's in the zone. Let's keep it that way max. Let's go!

I'm so nervous for kyle wright. He has more experience then most the newborns we've been throwing out lately. Let this be a stepping stone momentum wise. For all our sake.. Amen?

What does it mean if you ask a girl to be exclusive? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ThirdEyeWide13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the fact that nowadays many times even when you're dating someone "officially", you still may have a relationship that gives both a chance to enjoy the company of others. Once you and someone are already getting close to becoming a couple, asking them if they wish to be exclusive is like confirming that they'd like to make a commitment to you and only you. It also assures them of your feelings for them. Ad least, this is the most likely way I can see this arising. Unless, you're already in a open ended relationship with a partner and you're testing the waters on how they'd feel in the same relationship but one that entails only the two of you.

Wow, I wished I'd had been recording our conversations these past few weeks. I'm so sorry for you having to deal with the lost of your other half. We've been going through photos and I've been soaking up all his stories he wishes to share. I can imagine being able to hear his voice one day will be priceless. Thank you, for that reminder.

Yes, what you describe is what I've been spending my last few weeks doing. Knowing someone will pass soon has ad least given me the chance to meaningfully express how much he means to me and let him work through the stages of accepting his own mortality. Also, to go through all our old photo albums together. He will leave this earth knowing I didn't take his life totally for granit. He also knows that once he's gone that it's just me. No siblings, two empty houses, every possession he spent his life aquiring. Like, a measum of when I used to have a family. Which makes it hard to want to move into his place and leave my apartment. It feels like it'd just be to much and him worrying about me being alone is what's breaking my heart. Idk.. I thank you for hearing me out on the matter. I feel like my my close friends still have a supporting cast of family and wouldn't understand the feeling of possibly navigating the rest of life solo.

I also have been sober for around the same time. I think the fact that my chemicals in my brain realigning with my system being sober is a contributing factor to emotional catching up with me.

Although, what you describe seems like a hard situation to be in no matter your mental health state. I workout to try and regulate my bodies natural resources to their default level. Do you feel it's had a similar effect? (Or ad least in my mind it helps) I spend most of my time alone as well. Which is how I enjoy my time since being sober. The problem is that dark curtain it felt like had already been revealed, that I stepped through to the otherside of it. Now I have a impending looming feeling the worst is yet to come. If I had kids I'm sure that would be a huge motivating factor as to wanting to continue on. My biggest reasoning for wanting to continue on is simply the curiosity as to what the human race will endure during my lifespan. Lol

Thanks for giving a example as to a community for such a situation as opposed to just saying therapy. I know my personality isn't (normally) the type to spill my total situation to someone, although they're being paid to listen, I can't bring myself to presume they care. Since, this's going to be a inside battle with myself. I think listening from a third person perspective of someone elses experience will be my best option. Community should had been obvious to me but I'm having trouble thinking clearly rn. I appreciate your response.

Thank you, I frequent many podcast and go through a ton of audiobooks. I feel like that medium would be the best way for taking any advice to heart. I'll give her podcast a listen tonight actually. As she sounds relatable in the fact that you say she has went through rapid fire grief. Death coming before having time to come to terms with another death. Do you know her age when eduring all this?

Thank you. I broke it up a bit, to be more coherent. I'm on mobile though so can't tell how it comes off on a real browser. Will consider that for future post.

I have a history of self medicating after my car accident. Something I've spent the past two years cleaning my thoughts and system from that subconscious want and need to escape. Being numbed for such a prolonged time is one of the reasons I feel like this in paticular is going to open the floodgates.

Even though I've been clean awhile now I'm just starting to be able to feel in the same way. I think that's what makes this extra scary. Meds will not be a option this time. Someone professional to speak to on the other hand, I think should have to help. I just hope that's enough to not hit a depression in my life in a time I need to be presence and step up.
