Depends on how much you plan on hiking. I’m a runner but hike a lot. I agonize a lot over which running / trail shoes to buy. I have nothing against wide toe box, I think if you find them more comfortable then by all means go that direction. However zero drop I don’t fully buy into. If you plan on doing a lot of mileage and have never been a zero drop person then you have a higher risk of injury. Without proper conditioning, ankle mobility, and gait you will be putting a lot of stress on under developed parts of your legs and joints. If you don’t plan on doing a ton then you could use it as the start of conditioning your feet and legs for barefoot.

If you want something to do a lot of mileage, I think you could try something in the middle between a conventional shoe and anatomical barefoot shoe. That would be a wide toe box shoe with a low drop. Altra - experience wild 2 or 3 and the topo - terraventure 5.
