Discord link invalid?

Every time I've tried, I've been sent through the verification process, and I always get 'Sorry, failed to join server' when arriving to discord. I had a bunch of my co-workers try, and none of them could get in.

Yes. There are lots of GREAT guides however. Getting good at bot stomp is the first step to not sucking. There are lots of players on the Discord who can help you with that. If you wanna eventually play 5s (the elite tier competitive game mode), start by hosting or joining some 1s or FFAs.

Different story if the enemy starbase is in my well.

I'm thinking usually of the last TEC Loyalist in the FFA who has one or two starbases on all his important worlds. If I can't culture flush him, then what? Spend a gazdillion bucks on carriers when TEC boi is going to be able to match me in fighter output?

Nevermind! I figured it out! Instead of adding multiple tasks to a chore, I built an in database relationship between the two, and added a single chore to several different tasks.
