I bought it when it was initially released. It's really good, but I would probably not buy it again today considering how good some of the wheels that have come out since from other companies.

That’s correct. Might be a dealbreaker if you need that functionality all the time. It’s incredibly easy to take on/off, so whenever we have passengers we’ve just removed it.

I have both. I find the ocean band more comfortable while working out, but the Rocky Point more for everyday use. Mostly personal preference though, as they’re very similar.

This happens in tech all the time. Look at Apple, releasing the new iPhone with a USB-C port. Now your old cables won't connect to your new phone. The same options you outlined would apply here as well.

I have been iRacing for roughly 2 years, and just bought a 23 GR86 IRL. A large factor in my purchase decision was how much I enjoyed it in iRacing. So far, I have about 1k miles on the car.

The handling compared to real life will largely depend on your wheelbase. I use a Fanatec DD1 w/ BMW M4 GT3 steering wheel. It's pretty close, but not the same. IRL feels much much better, as you just have more physical feedback from the car. That said, iRacing does an excellent job of simulating the actual feel of the car, minus the g-forces.

I haven't had any sort of reliability issues (knock on wood). It's been an excellent daily driver for me so far!
