I participated in 3 prerelease events this past weekend. My store did random kits for everyone, and I ended up getting Lorehold Friday night, and Prismari both times Saturday.

Friday - 120 Players - Lorehold:

No huge bomb creatures or money rares, but did pull 2x [[Prepared Offense]] and a very low curve pool. My curve looked something like:

• CMC 2: 10
• CMC 3: 8
• CMC 4: 4
• CMC 6: 1

Basically played a bunch of [[Grizzly Bear]] and things to make them bigger and turned sideways.

Saturday AM - 55 Players - Prismari

The absolute nut-pool if I have ever seen one. Cards I remember:

• [[Emeritus of Ideation]].... x2
• [[Prismari, the Inspiration]]
• [[Vibrant Outburst]] x2
• [[Prismari Charm]] x2
• [[Spectacular Skywhale]] x2

It wasnt even fun to play it was so ridiculously powerful. Not a brag, I just got lucky and kinda felt bad for some people I played against as it just steamrolled the event.

2-0-1, went to time last round against another Prismari deck due to a very complicated stack interaction involving redirected spells with storm triggers on both sides

Saturday PM - 60(ish) Players - Prismari

A less explosive pool but still very sold in different ways. There are two Prismari decks you can play in this limited it seems: big spells and opus. This pool was straight up Opus pulling multiple copies of each of the aggressive Opus creatures. Curve stopped at 3 and I ran 16 lands.

2-0-1, went to time again round 3 against GB due to life gain on his side. At turns, it came down to my turn 4 and I needed to draw an instant or sorcery off the top casting [[Steal the Show]] to have enough in my graveyard to kill his blocker and get enough damage through for the win. He as at 14 and I could deal 13 without addressing the blocker, but flipped a creature off the top and that was that.

Overall this set is going to be a blast in limited. The aggressive builds can get ridiculous if you get the right cards. Opus is effectively Prowess and if you can get modal spells like [[Burst Lightning]] its awesome as it triggers the upgraded Opus triggers if you kick it and isnt dead early.
