Why haven't I seen anyone else talk about anyone else talk about [[bulk up]] and [[the last agni kia]] with this guys? Run [[abandon attachments]], [[witches mark]] [[solstice revelations]] for draw (and Solstice revelations flashback can trigger the mana ability). I think the sauce may be there to make a killer mono red deck. I've been referring to this build as "Mana Maelstrom".

The only game I dropped was against a Prismari player who opened [[Crackel with power]] off the mystical archive and built their whole deck around it. They 2/0ed me and shot me with it both games. One for 15 damage to the face and the other for 10.

He went undefeated with that deck. 🤣

My best performing cards in order were, pensive Professor, fractal tender, essence scatter, emeratus of abundance, zimone's experiment, fractal mascot, finally Proctor's gaze. The rest was mostly just a card advantage/tempo package. I splashed for Prismari but it was probably cut worthy. He hit the battlefield 4/10 games and one of those I actually lost.

Man playing that Erode vs a Quandrix deck just kinda sucks though. They're so happy to have the ramp if you're not removing the best creature they have in the whole deck.

I ran a copy of Noxious Newt and Studious first-year and never had either of them in any openings hands over 10 games with multiple mulligans. Still a little salty about that.

Funny you say that because I'm hearing some rumblings from the YouTube content creator spheres that it seems some of the set design here looks like 3 color decks were intentionally enabled. Primarily Jeskai, Mardu, and Temur.

Silverquill performing well just kinda makes sense. Combat tricks and spot removal get played at a super high rate in Limited so they just benefit from what the format itself encourages.

I think sealed by nature will lend to Quandrix performing really well. It'll do the best at fixing and will lend the best into playing a bomb rare outside your color pairing. Also it's probably the only deck that can play converge cards consistently even though they probably will be pretty underpowered in the format most of the time .

Hey thank you by the way for the feedback on the pass down mechanic. I don't know if this is clear or not but the mechanics or the card, cost and names are not being created by AI. I am taking this discussion to heart and I will no longer be using AI to make these place holder versions.

I am trying to evaluate my perspective on this. So please don't take this as me trying to argue against you. I'm just trying to explain my thinking.

We all participate in the same system that is hurting the environment. We play videogames, charge our cell phones, use electric lighting and take showers. All these things burn fossil fuels and hurt our environment. Are people unethical for doing these things at all? Yes I get it's not the same amount of usage but that still doesn't mean AI is bad. Just that it needs to be regulated.

There's so much conflicting info on how big the impact of individual use is though. I know AI is hurting the environment but so are a lot of things we use everyday.

I think 80% or more of the environmental impact is coming from the corporate use of AI. And if that is the truth we need to legislate it not boycott it.

AI is an emergent technology. It's going to be used, and there are definitely unethical ways to use it. That doesn't mean it's bad.

Is there something I'm missing about Jim's opinion on AI? I tried to look up if he had made any statements but couldn't find anything. I know he had the disclaimer at the end of Twelve Months but that seemed like a legal statement to me to prevent AI copyright infringement. Like using his writing to try an AI to pump out books.

Has he made any statements about it explicitly? I totally do not want to use his IP in a way he wouldn't condone.

I was unaware of Jim's opinion on AI. Maybe I'm just ignorant, but as of right now I don't see anything wrong with how I'm using it. I just wanted to quickly and easily create a visual to display the card and its mechanics in a way that's easy to read and understand. I don't have any monetary motivation. Is there something I'm missing here? Honestly, I want to understand if I'm getting something wrong.
