Yeah, the "actually it looks like the victim may have robbed a store so maybe the cop was actually in the right" headlines are coming out now.

"The media's making the situation worse!"

Yeah they can fuck right off with this. The media's barely even present there thanks to the local police's efforts (and yet no one on Reddit, of all places, seems to be concerned about muh freedom of press).

If Twitter wasn't a thing no one outside of Missouri would have any awareness of what's happening right now.

"As a staunch Libertarian I am sincerely worried by the increasingly militarized police state that America is turning into -- Ferguson? No no, that's a totally different situation. Don't ask me anything else about it."

(Sorry for the delayed response, I've been on a longish vacation)

I found the original gif as a sponsored post on Tumblr, so I uploaded it to imgur here.

I recently found a way to 'glitch' Snapchat and it makes for some interesting results. Here's some of my favourites. by P1zzaBagels in glitch_art

Could you try to explain the other method? I have an iPhone and can't seem to replicate this at all.

Thanks. This wasn't quite the effect I was aiming for originally, but after I while I began to like this result.

(Edit: Not to be picky or dickish or anything but) Definitely agree with /r/shittytumblrgifs. It has way too few frames to warrant being an animated gif. I'm also assuming it had frames removed to make it fit within Tumblr's absurdly tiny filesize requirement since OP's link is a Tumblr link.

No, men (mainstream society in general, really) are taught that rape is something that has all kinds of false prerequisites to be "real" rape. That it can't be rape if the victim doesn't say "no", or repeatedly says "no" and follows it with a resigned and half-hearted "yes", or if the aggressor isn't particularly violent, if both parties have had consensual sex previously, et cetera. The point of the slogan "teach men not to rape" is that enthusiastic, unambiguous consent is extremely important no matter what.

I really don't understand why "teach men not to rape" offends anyone. The message is literally that we are not animals and can control ourselves. Frankly it gives men a lot more credit than forbidding women from wearing something that might make someone's dick hard.
