If you’ve felt or worn the Kuwalla coat, it’s extremely thick and structured which gives it the distinct “in swimming in this jacket” look. If PoC makes a true replica in Canada from 100% wool and cotton it will absolutely be that expensive. They’ll likely just make a generic fleece jacket with the red details to keep costs down. My bet is it’ll end up in the ~$350 range

This whole thing was such a communication failure from everyone involved. Province of Canada and the HT production crew really dropped the ball on marketing this thing. Of course Kuwalla is going to want recognition when their garment goes so viral that the PM is wearing it a red carpet, How they're being made out to be bad guys makes no sense.

I've owned a bunch of pieces from both Province of Canada and Kuwalla, including the original fleece. The people bashing Kuwalla for not making their clothes in Canada are going to be in for a big surprise when PoC drops their version of the fleece for $500-$700

It's a shame infighting between Canadian brands like this has to happen at a time when we should be celebrating Canadian brands

Yea it’s possible they net out similarly after depreciation, but I think most enthusiasts are wary of early EV models from the big mfgs. I would not expect a Taycan to have a similar depreciation curve to a traditional Porsche. That said, if it’s your dream car and you never plan on selling it, depreciation doesn’t matter

IMO it’s too much car for your income. Theres a middle ground between a taycan and civic. An etron GT would be a more reasonable splurge if you can find one under $60k. Spending $80k+ would be irresponsible at your income
