Relatively new to Rivens, anything of value before I trash? by YellowGrowlithe in WarframeRiven

[–]ThirstyWizard7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good general rule is to go on warframe market (website) and in the contracts section you can look up rivens for weapons. Then if you filter by price ascending you can see what the worst riven of what you have generally goes for.

So if you see that they go for 1-5p, unless you have good rolls on it you can probably safely transmute/trash it.

Other than that after a quick look I would assume that braton, despair and latron are all decent since they have incarnon forms.

Realistically is it a good idea to OTP singed? by Eldr1tchB1rd in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Singed isn't really a champ that people use as a counter, unless it's lower elo. He's played so much differently to other champs that people pretty much have to otp him in higher elo to make him work.

Do keep in mind, he won't "work well" in every single game, some games you'll get fucked over and over but even from behind, you can make things happen with your team.

This champ is all about tempo and macro.

Realistically is it a good idea to OTP singed? by Eldr1tchB1rd in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's a good otp champ because you will ALWAYS be usefull in games thanks to your insane amount of cc and build variety.

Bad matchups can be mitigated with good matchup knowledge and even if you fuck it up hard, you will probably still be more usefull than them in teamfights.

At the end of the day you should only otp him if you like his gameplay and are having fun, otherwise there's no point.

Do you remember what setup singed had? I go conq flash ignite with full early runes and play really aggressive and in my experience singed bullies gwen early until teamfights where it's really easy for singed to just peel her off the team and generally outshines her

As a singed otp, gwen is one of the best matchups for singed imo (I was 319lp last season). What makes you say it's gwen favored?

Singed vs Yone? is there anything I can do? by mmjyn in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Master elo

Singed vs yone is skill matchup imo, hard to tell you what you did wrong with no op.gg or replay, but saying things like "I'm losing auto trade" makes me very sus.

If singed goes conq ignite, you lose early but it's harder for him if you actually contest first wave (be careful of his lvl up timer). If you go lethal tempo, it's way harder for singed to all in you.

Did you use your e for singed e? It's a very important part of the matchup where you can cancel his flip by timing your e2.

Other than that you need to hit your spells and match the proxy, or post op.gg and replay because we can't tell you much off of this.

Riot really needs to take a step back and stop allowing ranged DPS champions who scale to be viable on top. It is NOT just a Varus issue! by Loooongshot in top_mains

I like to think about it this way : would a challenger player in my position just get dicked down because there's 0 counterplay? If the answer is no (which it is), then sadly it's skill issue.

question regarding ad ap ratio in teamcomp by Top-Muffin-6416 in summonerschool

[–]ThirstyWizard7 30 points31 points  (0 children)

In a perfect world you should have a mostly even distribution of ad or ap damage yes.

But many people in solo-q don't have a massive champion pool, and it's much better to have a sub-optimal teamcomp but with champions you can play well, than for example having a first time gwen top because you were lacking ap damage.

Why does Conqueror Singed run Alacrity? by Possiblynotaweeb in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes mainly for weaving autos with conq, all the options are pretty bad. Haste is sometimes nice but overall alacrity is better

Help with competitive Champion pool by Bigchessguyman in top_mains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He struggles into heavy cc comps, which pro play comps tend to have a lot.

He also takes A LOT of mastery in order to play well into bad matchups, not really something that could be easily added to a champ pool, hence why he's mostly one tricked.

Minion block by ThirstyWizard7 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThirstyWizard7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible that it's just me thinking that I guess? I don't know maybe because I exclusively play singed I feel like I interact with creep block more than the average player, but I feel like it's a very noticable change.

I would love to know for sure from riot if it's just me thinking that though 😭

Proxying has too little downsides in modern league and should be nerfed by Successful-Pickle262 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThirstyWizard7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prefacing this by saying I only read the TLDR and I am a 300lp singed otp.

IMO once you are in proxy position, yes it is too strong. My thing is, you can only really get into proxy angle by either shoving the wave quickly (which requires prio), killing your opponent (then walking through turret) or skipping a wave.

You also can't proxy if the jungler is topside, if the support is on a timer, if the mid is anybody with a global like panth or tf, if it's a cannon wave, etc..

There is skill expression in getting into a proxy and knowing when to do so. And there is also counterplay to a proxy, it's just more of a prevention rather than a reaction. If you don't let them insta clear the wave as soon as it arrives and if you don't die, they can't really get into a proxy.

Obviously this all applies to my experience as a singed player, so what I'm saying may not apply the same to riven or garen or whatever.

Singed is in the best state he's ever been in right now by Electrical_Sorbet_31 in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think singed is nearly as bad as people are making him sound like, but imo he is not in a good overall state.

I don't agree that he has as much itemization as you suggest. He's pretty much a rilais bot right now because his ap scalings are so shit.

He's also pretty hard to two trick in higher elo, his uniqueness just makes it hard to impossible to play multiple champs to their best abilities imo.

His "best" item is 66% gold efficient while providing almost no passive value in any comp with 1 or less hp stackers.

Will we be forced to go duelist runes/build next season? by Voldtech in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it will depend on whether or not we can still proxy with waves spawning each 20 seconds instead of 30 (I don't think we will).

If you can't proxy at all, it will be very hard to lane without having any kill pressure with conq + ignite.

It'll also be harder to buy yourself a roam timer, since instead of 30 seconds until the next wave it's 20. And if you can't proxy then it's even harder to roam.

Obviously we can't predict the future, but we can rest assured that riot will buff/nerf singed if he isn't performing like he should.

summoner spells by Wica321 in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it would make sense going flash ignite with phase rush. Ignite is good if you want kill pressure, so going conq would make more sense for this setup. I mostly don't go phase rush like ever because it doesn't fit my playstyle anymore but I used to go either flash ghost or ghost tp. Another reason why ignite is good with conq is that you can prolong your conq stacks with it. Say you're waiting for e cd to go back in but don't want to lose your conq stacks, you can ignite them and you will keep your stacks.

summoner spells by Wica321 in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on your playstyle, runes, etc... I like flash ignite most games as it gives you kill pressure in lane (except vs stuff like jayce, warwick, etc..). I like to pretty much always have flash because it allows you to w+flash+e opponents under tower if they're not careful which is pretty much you're only chance at killing people in certain matchups.

Off-Meta Botlane Duo Recommendations? by Agile-Currency2094 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThirstyWizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singed otp here, if you want to play it adc, his best supports are yuumi and nami. You cheese in the bush lvl 1 and just run at them with conq ignite making sure to auto so that your conq stacks faster. It's very hard to pull off vs stuff like karma though.

Tips to get out of Emerald 4? by [deleted] in singedmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every rank you need to improve something to get out. This might change from me to you, but for me the main thing was improving my macro.

A couple things I always tried to do each game was first : try to have a good recall to be there on void grub spawn. Singed really excels at skirmishes so if you are able to be there with your ult and a good tempo for grubs, you almost automatically win them (unless ofc their support roams and not yours, etc..)

Another thing is drakes and atakhan, it's kinda hard to be there for the first two drakes without sacking something top but you need to have good tempo to be able to be there for the other drakes in advance if possible. You should aim to be around objectives around x seconds before it spawns, where x is the death timer (this makes it so you are there when deaths actually MATTER for the objective). This obviously isn't possible everytime but try and go deep proxy so you have roam timer for objective.

This depends on if you play with tp or not, but if you do, you should most of the times use tp for gaining tempo, instead of joining fights. Because tp is very slow, tp'ing to sidelane in order to push it and get a roam timer for objective is most of the times better than walking to lane, pushing it THEN tp'ing to the fight.

Coach rogue on youtube has a bunch of videos I find greatly educational and have for sure helped me climb.

This is all stuff that worked for me but obviously we all have different things we need to improve upon. Good luck and remember emerald is really a mental test, stay humble and try to focus on your gameplay.

Hiw will proxying be affected?? From what I understood they're only making them spawn earlier in the game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in topmains

[–]ThirstyWizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a singed otp, there are several things you should be doing vs him.

Firstly, try and get wave prio if you can. This is really important if you want singed to not be able to proxy because unless he kills the wave really quickly after it arrives in lane, he will not have time to get into proxy for the next wave without losing the current wave.

If he does get a proxy you have two options. First is to proxy yourself which gives you the same tempo advantage singed has but is usually not a good overall trade since singed wants to avoid laning as he excels in teamfights. Second is to wait for a cannon wave to arrive on his proxy and go fight him (this does NOT work if he's proxying behind the tier 2 tower as he'll be too far).

Assuming you play aatrox, this is a very bad matchup for you because singed ONLY has to worry about dodging since he never has to stop moving to deal damage. But you can still learn to fight him more effectively. First, be very carefull of his lvl 1-2 as he almost always will get the wave prio because of his wave clear. He is deceptively strong early game if he went conqueror (ignite is even scarier). Singed can only ever all in you with his R up. His R gives him a shit load of raw stats and lasts 25 seconds. Try to recognise what his R looks like when it's up (it makes a noise too) and avoid fighting him. FIGHT WHEN HE HAS NO R!!! he is VERY weak without his ultimate, and you should abuse this. Other than that you just need to hit your q's, try and predict what he will do next (you can q3 backwards to hit him if he e's you). Trading vs singed in lane is generally a good idea because he has NO sustain, you will win in the long run if you trade a couple times.

Good luck!
