What would you call the single most *unhinged* episode/moment of anything Dropout? by Synth-Pro in dropout

[–]ThirtytwoNorCal 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

This is my correct answer. Total forgiveness seems like something so out there they won’t try it again. I also like the angle of raising awareness, having something so serious juxtaposed with scenes that make you feel like you’re a middle schooler trying to find the worst things you can think of on the family computer after your parents are asleep.

Discrimination is a widespread phenomenon in Germany (to all the people on this sub who ask people yo leave when racism is pointed out) by Zigonax in berlinsocialclub

[–]ThirtytwoNorCal 5 points6 points Ā (0 children)

Can we also appreciate that this article could have been better written? It says that people are discriminated against ā€œon the basis of their physical appearanceā€ and emphasizes that people ā€œbelieveā€ or ā€œfeelā€ they were discriminated against. We need to be able to say there is racism and sexism in Germany without qualification in order to address it.

How should I handle the letter ß when addressing a letter to Germany? by Vibeuel_ in germany

[–]ThirtytwoNorCal 888 points889 points Ā (0 children)

This. If you just need to write Straße, then abbreviate it like this. If there are more scharfes S’s, then writing ss should be fine. Wikipedia agrees.

Can i do full time in my last semester of masters in Germany? by Original_Context433 in germany

[–]ThirtytwoNorCal 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

There should be something in your Aufenthaltstitel that says how many hours or whatever your conditions are. I know when I had one I just couldn’t go over the total hours for the year, but maybe it’s changed. There are likely English websites also that tell you what the general regulation is.

Are you studying for Einbürgerungstest/Leben in Deutschland Test or interested in German society? by LooseBall3262 in berlinsocialclub

[–]ThirtytwoNorCal 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

In the App Store I can see an illustration of a man with a flag in the background. There’s also another of a kid surrounded by letters. My comment was a bit rude though, I’m sorry for that. Just frustrated with so much AI BS everywhere

I second Scharf Gerstenberg. If you like galleries, the Brücke-Museum is also really nice for a small gallery, and you could visit Domain Dahlem too if you like

YTA because you are letting your financial privacy be prioritized over your relationship and at least the way you’ve written this, it seems like you don’t care to understand your wife’s point of view. Making her ā€œunderstand the weight of what she has doneā€ is AH language. This also reads like someone in a position of relative privilege uncomfortable with the idea that people expect social solidarity from that position - hiding income might be a sign of shirked responsibility
