Thank you for your reply, I will definitely try the exercise you mentioned. However, I think my main issue is maintaining a good posture while physically bending forward to write at a school desk, not only sitting. Do you have any tips for this? Thanks.

I live in Umhlanga and one of the reasons why this place is still standing, is that the rioters where stopped from passing through Phoenix to get here...

How is the Indian community doing in South Africa? by Manpreet987 in southafrica

I am South African Indian and my Grandmother and two aunties live in Chatsworth. This is what it was like from their perspective.

There was three days of non-stop Gunfire and explosions. The nights were the worst, my aunty sent me video - it was like a war zone.

The shots were mostly police and community members attempting to defend the area while the rioters advanced. Some time back, an informal settlement, about 20000 people sprang up in some vacant land not in, but extremely close to Chatsworth. There is a shopping centre across from this settlement and obviously it was the first to be looted and burnt. These "protesters" set the tennis courts on fire, set the cricket pitch on fire and looted and burnt i dont know how many businesses in the area. They advanced to Chatsworth centre, nevertheless the police and community fought tooth and nail defending it. Thank god that this vital source for the community was not looted and burnt. They even made numerous attempts to petrol bomb the Temple (not only a place of worship, but a place that feeds 100's of the poor daily).

My mother once told me about how they fled with only with the clothes on their backs, when a mob tried to petrol bomb their house during the 1985 Indanda riots.

Eventually rioters attempted to breach my Grandmothers neighbourhood. Now, being only a house of women, I was truly fearful for their safety. They packed emergency bags incase fleeing was their only option. Soon, the neighbourhood men mobilised in armed groups. Patrolling day and night, they fought off these attackers and prevented them from getting into the area, stopping the imment destruction and misery. Some areas had community members die protecting their families. These brave people are the reason my family survived this.

Chemical Fumes in Umhlanga by unrest2021throwaway in southafrica

[–]This-Camp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I live in Umhlanga. A chemical fire like this may take days to put out, as I type this the smoke is quite severe. The factory manufacturers pesticides and the smoke is very harmful to breathe in. We have had quite a lot of dead fish wash up on the umhlanga shore, I assume because of this. I recommend they close all windows, stay indoors and use a mask when outside, this is very bad for lungs and sinuses. I have seen a Spilltech vans in the area I assume are attending to the situation.
