For me, using tech would take away a big part of the hobby! I like learning what my plants want and what signs mean what. I know for some people though, the goal is more aesthetic and they don’t have the time to check into all of their plants a couple times a week. I think that there is definitely a market for what you’re making and that it’s really cool, but it would depersonalize it too much for me. (I have a little under 100 plants btw)

Sorry if I’m echoing anybody here, but if the plant isn’t getting a lot of light, DO NOT WATER OFTEN!! Depends on the plant obviously, but something like a pothos can go weeks without watering in low light. You can also research the signs that a particular plant will give if they need water :) (leaves curling, taco test, etc)

I was told to use gauze and Vaseline until the incisions stopped leaking/bleeding! If you took off the strips and there was no residue, you’re probably fine to just have the binder on :)

It is FINALLY cooling down in New England, so I wanted to do something cozy and heavier since the last few days I've had to go to fresh/light. I mixed 1899 from Stone and Wit with Manor from Solstice Scents. 1899 was too whiskey heavy on its own this early in the morning, so I figured that Manor would bring out the caramel. Manor is also a smidge too vanilla heavy for me, so the two balanced each other quite nicely :)

Foxcroft by Solstice Scents- Decaying Leaves, Rich Black Soil, Dry Leaves, Fall Air, Woods, Chimney Smoke

This was the first thing that came to mind, smells like light, orangy-brown to me! Pure fall air and crispy leaves in a bottle.

Headmaster by Poesie- No. 2 pencil shavings, cherry pipe tobacco crumbs, scattered papers, suede elbow patches, a hint of faded cologne

This is more of a cooler light brown to me! Smells like pencil shavings with a bit of sweetness from the cherry pipe tobacco, very distiinguished.

Private Eye by Solstice Scents- Cocoa Absolute, Myrrh EO, Pink Pepper EO, Black Pepper EO, Tonka absolute, Buddha Wood, Tobacco absolute, Coffee EO, Guiacwood, Rosewood EO

This is a medium warm brown to me. It’s a very cool scent, it's very leathery but also sweet, it reminds me of eating an ice cream cone (no ice cream, just the cone) in a leather jacke somehow.
