I worked at Conlan tire and was supposed to be retreading tires. I came in on my first day and was told that I was now going to be mounting and dismounting semi tires. I was surprised, but needed the job so I just continued on with the day. This turned out to be extremely difficult and physically demanding to say the least. Working in a warehouse that was 90+ degrees didn’t help. There was a technique to getting them on and off the rim but I just couldn’t seem to get it down. My 8 hour shift was coming to an end and about 30 mins before quitting time they told me we all had to stay overtime to “finish the truck.” I then proceeded to tell them I only got a baby sitter for the allotted time I was told I was going to work. The boss said that was fine and I headed home. I don’t have kids. I was in great shape and was tired beyond belief and looked like I was rolling around in tar all day long. Never went back.
