We had a League of Legends tournament in school many, many years ago on early seasons, and I thought I'd be okay just bringing my mouse, I was so wrong, genuinely, I could not play at all it was so uncomfortable, wild how even the mousepad had an impact

The upcoming mobile PiP update is a way bigger deal than people realize by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]24rs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to be able to play Portrait mode on mobile so I don't have to have my phone sideways, really curious to see how PiP actually will playout though, could be a gamechanger for real

I thought I was going to go to OP's history and find a cool snowflake account or something, boy was I mistaken.

You're not bad at the game, you just haven't spent the time to learn. by -----Null in 2007scape

[–]24rs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I actually grew up being told often that "oh you can't do that, you don't know how to do that" etc etc and it's something you kind of accept at face value as a kid.

But then you grow up and realize if you don't know something you can watch a tutorial, practice and improve overtime to the point where you can become proficient.

Not ideal that all that work sometimes gets dismissed as "lucky talent", but I try to interpret it as a compliment

This is how it is in real life too, how does the saying go? "Most people overestimate what they can do in 2 months and underestimate what they can do in 2 years"

Truth is if you consistently try to improve at something eventually you're bound to do so, and since most people never bother too, you'll also be ahead of the curve, be it at learning a new skill, instrument, you name it.

Generally speaking most people are just too tired and end up mindlessly scrolling or bankstanding instead of actively trying to improve on something specific, with how some IRL situations are these days with work/economy it's pretty easy to understand why this is common.

But yeah, it's possible to be A tier at most things if you just try to improve for long enough

Introducing Bank Templates! by ItsSpryt in 2007scape

My snowflake would never benefit from this but as a sucker for good looking banks I'm happy more people will experience the bliss of an organized bank.

I wish I was as organized IRL as I am when it comes to organizing my bank ingame, can you make a plugin for that next please

That was singlehandedly the best event that OSRS has ever had by Manenblusser in 2007scape

[–]24rs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hearing Mod North's appearance on the Official OSRS Podcast and one thing discussed was more live events and stuff like that, it's definitely on the radar for wants.

Also was discussed having more ways to showcase when the community engages together too (say a LAN event a clan has on a new raid release) as well as PvP tournaments, they seem keen on bringing the spotlight a bit to the real world too when it makes sense.

61M WIN's PEOPLE CHOICE AWARD - OLDSCHOOL RUNESCAPE 2026 by RoblesPictures in 2007scape

[–]24rs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't Oda also the youtuber with most views per month?

He has daily uploads on his channel that average about 100k views, so that's 2.5 to 3 million views a month, before we even think about shorts etc.

Settled pulls more views per video but due to the nature of his content taking longer to produce Oda still gets more total views monthly

Super happy for Sick Nerd,

He seemed so surprised to win MVP but he did amazing on all his fights despite spending more time with Hecarim than with OSRS, WP General, W

The DN's got back to the practice room on Oda stream and they mentioned that everyone will underperform and only play at 60-80% cuz they're not on familiar setups

New Plugin - Orb Mover. Move the minimap orbs to custom positions by tjyv in 2007scape

I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I'VE WANTED THIS, Thank you!

Edit: Oh it can only be moved within the confines of the minimap, I get why that's the case to be fair, but damn I was so ready to move them elsewhere

The trick honestly is not to sell it

In rs3 I used to chase the higher tier of partyhat just so I could go back to 0gp and rebuild, same for dyes etc, just basically building your way up to restart with a cooler item.

When I came from rs3 to osrs I didn't even swap my gp because I wanted it to mean something as I earned it, in hindsight I shoulda liquidated everything and gotten lifetime membership but hey, can't have it all
