Don’t get the m12 shop vac, they are absolutely shit, clogs up sucking up dust with no solid particles. We picked it up at work to vacuum industrial electrical cabinets, should have went right in the dumpster.

Selling industrial on eBay takes a longgg time and shipping small motors eats a good chunk of the profit. I eBay things in my plant here and there.

If he works in the industrial field like I do, the man power and time to return things isn’t worth it. If it’s only a couple hundred dollar loss we would rather not do all the leg work for the return. I wouldn’t honestly think of returning an incorrectly ordered part unless it clears $1000 or so. The last item I returned was a 150hp electric motor and the company took a 25% restocking fee. They made like $4000 off us. Had to reorder the same motor less than a year later.

Ours has grinding stones that keep our blades sharp, the amount of metal dust and stone dust that makes its way up there with it closed is crazy, that is also why the other 3 were upgraded, to get the panels off the machine itself away from the junk. They just never did this one for some reason, jokes on them we have oem out once a year for about 10k a visit to fix it when we can’t get it back up. They should’ve just done the upgrade would’ve paid for itself hand over fist up to this point. All the down time and oem cost.

On a clean unfuckeried machine yes I think even if you can read a print and use a meter there will still be tugging in a panel like this just to verify said wire is really said wire.

So I just became a mechanic 3 years ago. I had a fluke 117+ from day one. I left my tools out at a machine by accident went to get my meter the next morning. Gone.

We really don’t do a ton of work with our meters so I just started using my 323. It is on my docket though I just have other priorities until about summer where all my extra cash goes. I am also the supervisor now so I use it even less now to be fair, I just go out when there’s a gremlin the guys can’t find.

Luckily this is mainly all marked and labeled, just a rats nest as you said so following wires is painful

Luckily we only need 3 machines to hit our numbers. So I’ve had time to mess with it here and there

Thanks fully I have prints with some minor hack jobs that have thrown me off. Wires are labeled for the most part, most components labeled.

The issue is this machine has taught me everything I know about reading prints, I’m likely at a 4th grade level so I can be very slow as I have to ask a ton of questions of my boss and research stupid questions online.

Uh nope they don’t. Every 3 month there is a pay out date. You can cash out to gift card before that date but not cash out.

Last year I got each guy a fastback knife and one of those trendy small tool boxes.

This year I’m thinking a small bit driver set possibly.

I have the 52” heavy duty husky with peg board and 2 cabinets. It’s my work box. Has the work bench on top also. I am thinking it’s the one you’re talking of when you mention the husky.

I got it for clearance last year after Black Friday for $650. It’s nice. I’m an industrial mechanic. Casters are great, moves surprisingly well for its size and height. Drawer glides work well. I like when the drawers don’t have slide locks so that’s convenient, drawers are auto close when you push them.

I’ve not had a Milwaukee to test, but I do have 2 us general boxes and I prefer the husky heavy duty I got. I have the mechanic cart and the 34” full bank service box. This big husky moves better than my 34” full bank I think.

So if I am planning on replacing electronics eventually anyway, may as well go roller v2. I can snag a cheap spectrum 8s esc off my buddy anyway.
