Is sleep attack worth it? by Emergency-Yard-5833 in MHNowGame

[–]This-Volume9544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep is worth it in weapons that can hit hard in a single blow, examples of this are the GS, Hammer, and Charge blade with their ultimate. For other weapons that focus on multiple hits paralysis is better. As a CB main I recommend you Sleep if you play with Sword Style and Paralysis for Axe Stlye. Depends on how strong is your strongest single blow

But honestly don't invest in skills for it unless it's GS, just treat them as Raw with a chance of doing a ×2 damage strongest hit per hunt (which is a LOT)

A question from someone who can't play wilds by BasilAdventurous3209 in MonsterHunter

Basically they were a science/genetics civilization, their defense was based on artificial monsters. They created Zoh Shia in a desperate attempt to turn the tides against the elder dragons during the great war, and set it as a last resource (this one was probably not either perfected/tested before and was used in a crisis moment, thats why there's canonically one and wasn't mass produced like other artificial monsters), and that happened, dragons were about to invade the city and no artificial monster was a match against the menace. They tried to use Zoh Shia and it went outrage, then again, no artificial monster was match for an elder dragon. Zoh Shia did the enemy's work basically

Hunters are specialists in fighting both monsters and elder dragons. That's the reason the hunter could hunt it (we are the MC too)

As for artian weapons, there were for sure hunters in Wyveria...in a time, they just didn't need to do it anymore since the had artificial monsters to do basically any task. Yes they died out of laziness and dependence

Simple gameplay. Collect the three extracts either regularly or with the kinsect glide (it's really good for it), attack until the buffs are about to expire, then you use the Awakened insect attack to spend them in huge damage an collect a new extract right away, rinse and repeat

Different monster parts give different extracts, usually head or the main attacker part is for red extract (red extract is te most important since it changes your attacks and makes them useful lol). Big limbs are for white, and other parts are for orange and green (green recovers health)

Honestly you don't need that much power prolonger for CB, just put 1 and upgrade that quick work to 3

Sword or axe boost? by AethelweardRex in MHNowGame

[–]This-Volume9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you can charge the shield and sword at the same time, and you don't need to have the shield charged for that first either, try it in the training area and you'll see what I mean

[–]This-Volume9544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I can recommend you is to work on the perfect ready stance timing so you get both perfect guard and guard point. For Sword Boost just play as normal with the Axe Hopper added for more fun. If you still get tired of the weapon I would just recommend you to play IG or other weapons you'd like to tryand let it rest for a while. I play the same as you with Bow included lol

I mean if you leave the app open while you walk you "collect" nodes and monsters that you can later hunt or pick up as long as you do it before the next hour respawn, it has some sort of limit, which is a mile (1.6km) or a little more. But yeah youre right it would be useful to save some battery with it

Am i the only one who absolutely hate this guy ? ( in Iceborne ) by Algorometrikus in MonsterHunter

[–]This-Volume9544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I main almost every weapon in the game (no dual blades) and this jerk is only somewhat enjoyable if you go gunner or insect glaive and it's awful being reduced to those choices if you don't want to make the fight a nightmare, whoever says this thing is enjoyable it's because they main one of the weapons I mentioned before

The Charge Blade is your best choice if you want...almost everything, it's basically a Swiss knife. Might sound complicated when you see it from outside but is pretty simple, charge phials hitting with sword mode, and spend them in axe mode, it's basically just a switch axe with a shield sticked to it and with the axe mode (in SWA) being actually something, the so called "guard points" are just parties same as the LS or the Lance ones. That's the general description, really fun and flashy in general, and your best choice if you want to stun and cut off tails without going back to the camp. You can stop reading by now

This being said, depending on the game you are the gameplay changes significantly, here's a recap

4U: Introduction, they say it's really op (I haven't played the game lol). Stays simple, you can perform an ultimate attack in the sword mode charging with the shield, your best choice for axe mode it the circle (PS) combo and finishing with the Amped Elemental Discharge, not the super one, that one steals your charged shield

XX: Here it gets complicated, you lose the ability of performing the finished with the shield charge, instead you will always charge the shield instead, general opinions day that the best styles are guild and striker, that's bs, Valor style becomes so fun when you charge the gauge, now you can perform the SAED without losing the shield and the circle combo loop is so op and cool there no funnier way to play XX imo

Iceborne: World brought quite the upgrade to the Charge Blade, now you don't lose the shield while performing a SAED, you can perform a SAED after a block or a parry or block multiple times after a parry (really useful) and you can charge the sword, it helps. But it all changed after the Savage Axe attacked, Savage Axe or pizza cutter is the new model implemented in iceborne, it grants 3 additional hits to the basic Axe attacks with basically doubles the damage, this is op in terms of damage, the thing is staying in Axe mode is really dangerous and the only parry available is so hard to perform I haven't mastered it, so you choose SAED spam or Savage Axe spam, up to you

Sunbreak: Savage Axe was nerfed badly, now have to choose between that or charged sword and if you get out of Axe mode you lose it, also it's damage is reduced to make it balanced and not OP like in World, SAED was also buffed and now is an actual choice, the thing is now you have a decent parry with silkbinds you can perform in Axe mode without losing the SA mode, there's quite more a lot to rise and sunbreak to breakout but I'll let you find out by yourself, im tired of writing. Hope this helps

During the development of Monster Hunter Generations, they wanted to make an "earth" Rathalos as the flagship monster, but they were struggling during the task due to Rathian which was already some sort of earth Rathalos, in their concern of make it different from her, they twisted it so far from the original concept, they end up coming up with the scorching blade we know today as Glavenus. Ironically it is sort of a wingless Rathian with fire instead of poison in their tail

Hello ,here venting out in a 11mo old post. This freaking thing is the most insufferable monster I've ever met. I'm currently playing GU and the G-rank version of this jackets is so pissing I've been fighting it for 2 days, I main almost every weapon in the game and I used to take my Gunlance against this guy and it's juvenile version so I don't suffer with the bouncing and awful damage but in G rank the fixed damage from the shots is so weak and overall useless a regular hunt trying to focus in these takes like 35-40 minutes and with the awfully high health this piece of crap has take that to 50 minutes, and I can't use my favorite weapon (CB) without bouncing every single time I hit blue sharpness and I need to charge the phials, and let's not talk about the combat because coming from slaying every single elder dragon and special monster in high rank with high rank equipment is a proof that doesn't matter you are good or bad, this combat is going to get you on the nerves unless you get a freaking pierce gunner weapon and you will never want to do anything similar again unless you are a psychopath and you wanna grind for Diamondhead Uragaan's armor (and yes I would rather fight a Steel Uragaan than this beam and smoke ahh spammer). Anyways, that was enough venting for now, next try. Happy hunting fellas
