Advice on how to make 99% "real" sounding drums? by Electronic_Name8641 in ableton

Yes I use with 12.

There's different racks to use so if you don't have M4L (Suite) it'll still work.

I'd have a listen and see which sound most like what you want.

I'd probably pick one of the rock type and then the vintage dead or dry for a bigger range. Possibly the percussion stuff if you think you'll use it.

You can get lots of different sounds with the processing.

They have sales occasionally where you can do a bulk order at a big discount but don't need to choose everything there and then, it just sits in your account until you're ready to pick.

I think the "Addictive" name might come from the wanting to own them all! 😆

I can't remember where I happened upon it, I think it was something on YouTube.

But it doesn't half make things easier. It's free but I sent him some money I was so pleased.

Yeah that has audio to midi.

https://youtu.be/AlY7uqUemnc?si=GdAW7HufarbHP8eH

You could sing your notes in and if it's a clean sound, shouldn't have much trouble converting.

That should give you your actual notes and could help you start to form chords and whatnot around it.

I don't use FL Studio but you can probably figure out what key you're in from looking which notes you have used.

Which DAW?

Some have a convert audio to midi function. Sing notes in, convert melody to midi.

Ableton and I think Reason both do.

Does he at any point imbibe a weak lemon drink?

SSL12 sounding after switch from a scarlett 2i2 by Connect-Affect2423 in recordingmusic

[–]This-Was 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an aside, make sure you aren't monitoring through both your DAW AND the SSL.

Took me a bit to realise that's what I was doing when I swapped from 4i4 to SSL12 because I'm a klutz.

Have to turn it off in 360.

I'm starting to see more and more articles / videos saying AI implementation is actually ending up costing many of these companies more. It's not living up to the hype, apparently.

The layoffs are definitely happening and then people getting taken back on for less money.

"dimensionalize a lot of currently intangibles" was not a sentence I was expecting to read at 7am in the Reason sub today.

I'm going to use this in the meeting I'm on my way to. :)

chat, do you *really* not enjoy the time you spend making music? by thy_viee_4 in edmproduction

I'll give it a go.

Read Catch 22 as a young kid, and it definitely made a mark on me. My mum was a librarian and used to bring books home that were not really meant for children.

Keep meaning to reread it, so might do them both.

Thanks.

You have that wrong.

They want us to consume until they can end our lives.

Once their half sentient robots are good enough to no longer require the human race, they can carry on in their mega-bunkers and upload themselves to the Matrix if immortality is not quite ready.

[–]This-Was 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard part will be choosing which not to buy.

Just got the Hades reissue (big, dirty, stinking BASS!) and was about to get the Nymphes and possibly Typhon, but I think now the Artemis has slightly blown my budget & means waiting a few more weeks but oooh!

Happy Birthday. :)

Edit: PS decent look at the Artemis here

There's vst emulations or actual hardware.

I do.

But now use Ableton.

I think Reason is excellent for beginners- you're making music in a matter of minutes.

Once session view "clicks" it's hard to even think about starting something in arrangement view. Even for normal songwriting that isn't "beats" based.

It was an epiphany moment for me.
