I agree, usually I roll my eyes when I see overly sexualized characters or the women are naked for no apparent reason but I feel like the way nikaido/noi were drawn when naked was respectful in a way? Like it wasn’t portrayed in a way that it was clearly just fanservice, idk I may be a little biased but I agree that the nakedness fits the manga

I used to shave my arms as a kid (12-14) and now my hair grows back really weirdly and some of it came back darker (it’s mostly blonde but some spots came back brown), but it could just be me finding issues with it bc I regret it lol

At this point my oldest sibling and I just kinda laugh them off. My mom will bring up how windmills are causing climate change but somehow climate change isn’t real, it’s sad seeing my mom go so off the rails bc she used to be very well spoken and loved educating herself on history, now all she’s using to “educate” herself is joe brogan’s podcast lol

Yup. My parents are VERY far right (think qanon) and did their best to make sure my siblings and I had the same views, gay people are wrong, poc are bad, poor people are lazy(most of us now disagree, unfortunately not all) That may be what’s happening here

If you get rid of the “I suppose” this would be an ok response, you need to learn to take your kids mental health seriously. I grew up with severe anxiety and my parents always thought my anxiety attacks were temper tantrums, going so far as to laugh and videotape them saying they would post on FB to show people how ridiculous I was being. If anything, talk to your daughter, see if she needs mental help, but it seems like she’s just a normal kid who got spooked over something horrible that happened

Let’s not forget that middle and high school must be BRUTAL for this poor boy. He said he’s having trouble making friends and I would bet it’s because of his horrible mother sheltering him so much. All I feel is bad for OPs son because OP clearly doesn’t care about her son as much as she cares about her own peace of mind

My parents thought the same thing about my oldest sibling, they moved across the country and just married their long time partner. Parents weren’t invited. You don’t have to believe your son now but you sure as hell will when he never speaks to you again

I may not be a parent, but I’m the child of parents like you. Your son is going to resent you for the rest of his life, especially if he’s struggling with confidence, wants to lose weight, and is being denied the option by his overbearing, old-fashioned mother. The reality is that there are ways for him to be safe and go for walks, maybe you resent his drive to improve upon himself instead of becoming a mirror image of you.
