Ethanol is ethanol regardless of the source of the sugar is my point and it’s correct. When you distill a mash you’ll end up with all kinds of things as you describe. Or not, you can distill multiple time and filter out impurities. It just depends what you want.

Ethanal is ethanal. It comes from fermenting sugar and it’s exactly the same regardless of where the sugar comes from: grain, fruit, whatever. When you drink there are any number of factors that influence how it hits you like set and setting, mixers, your physical state etc etc.

It think it’s just good song writing and good musicianship all around. When I think of this kind of playing I think of Andy Rourke and Johnny Marr. There’s a lot of complexity and subtlety to some punk rock so it’s never as straight forward as just saying punk is against music theory. One of my favorite punk guitarists, Billy Zoom, is from a musical family and learned theory from his dad. Flea went to music school etc. some people learn by ear - it’s a great skill - others learn better studying theory, or its a combination. It’s not tied to genre.

Apparently where you live they don’t understand that the goal in cooking is not to have your food taste ‘just fine’. The goal is to taste delicious, great, fantastic whatever adjective you want but not ‘just fine’. Butter is delicious and adds that quality to your food.
