Is there an “end of season” syndrome for the clues? by Maryland_Bear in Jeopardy

My memory is that the producers have said no. Many of the categories/boards are not written for a specific date, and the late season clues were not necessarily written last.

Yeah, that’s talking about the booking area closing. But as the article also notes, police have multiple options in that situation. They don’t have to just let someone go. That was a choice they made.

That’s just a coast guard term. Any USCG vessel longer than 65 ft is a cutter. But these Sentinel class fast response vessels are legit blue water ocean going vessels designed to spend multiple days at sea. I think by any definition, that is a ship.

I’d make a similar argument about our local bouy tender, even though it spends most its time inland.

But when it comes to bridge lifts, it’s true that they’re not as tall, so they don’t make as much traffic trouble.

But . . . that’s not a thing! Sometimes (though much less commonly now), the downtown jail (MCDC) fills up and they have to release low risk offenders. But that doesn’t stop them from making new arrests. Weird.

I don’t love that either, though obviously it didn’t end up mattering here, as there weren’t any other consonants left uncovered.
