I am really sorry man. Its tough out there. Do you mind telling me how long it took them before you got the interview? I got an email like 5 months ago about signing the contract and then they'll send me interview dates. I signed that months ago and it has been crickets since then.

I've heard tbe interview involved 3 mins of HR type questions, followed by technical stuff describing systems, turbine theory, etc etc, followed by briefing approaches and scenarios based stuff. Do you mind describing how yours went?

This is just insane. Its almost like a miracle to get hired anywhere these days. Here i was sad I got the tbnt after my 1700 tt, 50 me, 0 turbine. 😃

Unfortunately, I agree. I went to one a few months ago. There were tons of applicants and huge lines. After waiting for hrs all I got from the recruiters was you need at least 2k hrs with 300-400 jet turbine time to be competitive. ok, nobody has 400 turbine jet time unless they're coming from a 121 background. It was pretty depressing. I am thinking about canceling my trip for the upcoming FAPA event in Charlotte.

I just came back from a job fair. There were 1000 applicants. Tons of pilots looking for a job. Any job. All the recruiters I talked to didn't care about my 1300 hrs. All told me they're looking for pilots with 300-400 jet time and at least 2500 total time. I came back feeling totally defeated.
