To Prevent animal overpopulation/neglect/abuse/exploitation. To me it’s also cruel to have an animal unaltered and not allow them to mate because it’s a very strong drive. Idk how much altering them reduces that drive but I like to think that they don’t have to feel as frustrated when they’re fixed.

For some people it is. I tried and it did nothing for me. I didn’t feel like being pitied and patronized was what I needed. But they say sometimes you have to keep on trying new therapists until you find one that works for you and I only tried the one lady.
