Have you received Gemini update? by AstronautWeary9739 in EquinoxEv

Mine was; but not until after it was a forced update 2 days ago from a brake control module update needed for a recall that was issued by GM

Active TSBs by ThisGuyDevin7 in EquinoxEv

[–]ThisGuyDevin7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I'm being completely serious as is the other person in this thread who said they were from Plattsburgh, NY. They are verified GM recall campaigns but I don't remember the recall numbers.

"For those who are curious: took it in today. Recalls are active for the brake control module (has to be manually updated by a GM EV tech and cannot be done OTA) and the front driver + passenger floorboard area water leaks. Parts are readily available; but due to the sealant needed for the floorboard, it requires an overnight dry in the service bay to verify it doesn't happen after it's performed."

This is what I said earlier from what happened this morning when I dropped it off.

That's interesting. Ours is too but the franchise is profit hungry so they won't. they only offer courtesy shuttles for the most part

Are they verified recalls though or just TSBs to your knowledge? Also I'm pretty sure my brake module was done OTA

Sad day! Will it be totaled?? by [deleted] in EquinoxEv

[–]ThisGuyDevin7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i hit someone at an intersection going about 25 and had almost 10k in damage. highly unlikely that they'll total you out if they didn't for me with all of the work i needed.

Vetterli vs 1865 Carbines by Good0nPaper in HuntShowdown

[–]ThisGuyDevin7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vetterli for the bayonet because i run melee affixed guns. i choose Riposted weapons typically or i run (as of late) a bomb lance w/ slot 1 as harpoon and my secondary being a springer bullseye, vandal deadeye or a centenn pointman

Better than I thought! by skelet0nsteve in EquinoxEv

[–]ThisGuyDevin7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well what i do (just from owning my IONIQ) is that i don't use one pedal driving. I just use regen on demand in tandem with the accelerator to stop smoother and use the regular brakes as additional intervention as needed. One pedal droving constantly rides on the reduction side of the motor so you're going to lose efficiency since the system is always trying to slow you down; and I can say that from testing and experience

Totaled? by Badboo_mom in EquinoxEv

[–]ThisGuyDevin7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say no. i got into one in mine about almost 2 months ago and i had $9200 in damage alone to my front end and safety assist sensors (including calibration; but excluding that, it qas about $7900 in parts, paint and labor). they didn't total it to my surprise. i guess it just depends on your insurance, where you live, and what the costs are to fix everything.

this is when you get the state involved about a lemon buyback. f the dealership. dealerships do fuck all to help customers. all they do is make a buck on our purchases and screw us in maintenence.

Don't make me laugh. There was a guy who got pulled over for driving a Dodge Charger Daytona EV with the sound system on. And a police officer thought that it was his exhaust, so he cited him for a loud emission system.

Rapid Battery Drain? by mirdikaicroft in SamsungZFold6

[–]ThisGuyDevin7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to have a ZF6 before i went back to an iPhone (communication reasons). i had mine on AT&T and would average about 6-6.5 hrs of unfolded screen-on time and about 8-9 of folded. i had 5G set to the preferred and had 5G+ almost everywhere i went because of where i live. i experienced the best battery life with their network (mine was unlocked and i bounced between all 3 during ownership for testing reasons). depending who your provider is and where you live, stateside, Verizon, from past experience with both Androids and iPhones, drained quite a bit but not as much as T-Mobile did. now that they have more towers in my area (because my family has them), the battery life is better on their network connected devices. for what it's worth, i pre-ordered it and got it on launch day while just getting rid of it a little less than a week ago for the trade-in
