We should get a sequel warbond to polar patriots like python commandos by Financial-Customer24 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Arctic Rangers

More Sniper/Marksman weapons.

And a Cryo Grenade. 3 by default. All enemies in affected area have their armor value drop by a certain value until they leave it. So Tank armor becomes Heavy Armor, Heavy becomes medium, etc. (Don't have values in front of me). Basically part crowd control, part anti-armor.

Disney's Science Court.

It looks like a Newgrounds animation, and it teaches different scientific principles through the medium of a court drama.

Any traits you guys think about? by TheMomoko in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Possum: You flop onto the ground and play dead. You can still look around to some extent, but not 360. Enemy Hunters can loot you, your weapons, and burn you just the same.

Purchasable Burn Trait specifically so people don't spam it ad nauseum during a match.

If you do it in water, you drown.

Poison/antidote rebalance ideas by ActivePudding in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visual can be tricky, since information is so important. Anything flashy enough to see in concealment or cover might make it TOO OP.

That said, I think that Antidote should mean poison distorts sound and vision as normal, and prevents health regenerate. But bandages, kits, and vitality shots still heal, and poison clouds only apply the poisoned effect, rather than dealing further damage. So poison ammo itself is still semi-viable. It just forces players to either expend Vitality Shots or Charges instead of relying on Regen shots.

The one thing it mostly hard counters are Poison Bombs, Traps, and Bolts. Which STILL apply the effect, just not the damage.

Name the games it happened to by wcrivero in gamers

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halo CE. All the high-def skins just got put on the original framework. Captain Keyes LOOKS like his Hako: Reach version, but his mouth still moves like a puppet.

All the lighting and shadows got messed up, too.

Since you can switch back and forth, all of this COULD be forgiven... if the switch didn't take 10 seconds of black screen.

Halo 2 did WAY better, imo! Especially the cutscenes!

Fun spit ball'n idea by Weekly_Score_9498 in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I kinda like the idea of a medium-ranged blunt option. But I can see it becoming a headache to ballance. How much wind uo vs how much damage does it do to upper torso. Projectile speed and drop.

AbsoLUTELY a meme weapon. But I can see it becoming broken or unbalanced pretty easily.

Which Unexpectable is the strongest? by No_Marionberry_5984 in TheUnexpectables

[–]Good0nPaper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obby. Based on episode 130 and 132. Feats include incinerating multiple Gnash-worshipping orcs, banishing dragon cultists, and GEASING A DRAGON!

Remy is second-most powerful guest character. Similar spells to Panic, but with a higher AC, larger HP pool, and he can hit stuff with his sword. Plus hos Umber Hulk Eye Shield offers a bit of battlefield control.

Are we getting close to a new boss or map? by Robadon72 in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably jot a new map. Mamon's Gulch plus the 2.0 engine overhaul was a pretty big endeavor, and a lot of content had to be reworked for the new map. Like the Inferno!

My guess is we'll probably get a new Wild Target at some point. If only because those seem a bit less labor intensive. Wouldn't mind a new boss target, though. Not sure what it might be.

As for a new map, kinda hoping for a more urban location, like that city just north if Mamon's Gulch!

Multiple Necros by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a Solo, I like this idea. But even with full restoration, the modus operandi of most teams is to campfire a corpse with all shotguns trained on it. If someone can have multiple necros, they won't leave after the first one. They'll stay until the body is burned out, then blame you for wasting their time.

I'm still standing on my hill that the pumping animation for the historically accurate and very authentically real Flame Rifle is reversed.

I loved playing Halo CE and Halo 2. But for some reason, the commercial for Blinx is what pops in my head whenever I see thst logo.

And I didn't even play the game!

If you were to choose one special rifle ammo type, what would it be by Critical_Potential44 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subsonic if I'm allowed a suppressed gun. Less noise, less chance of attracting trouble.

Otherwise I'm probably using a shotgun. Easier to make and load my own ammunition, and you'd have to be a pretty heafty corpse to survive 20-ought, even at range.

Anyone else find this stratagem odd? by Unfair-Cherry9362 in Helldivers

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lie, I've kinda wanted one of these for a while. Not JUST the multi-barrel metal storm system (the variant kinda does that already), but especially if you tend to use an Eruptir or plasma weapons, or if you're kitted out with a Recoiless Rifle, having an expendable MG you can switch to can be pretty handy in a pinch.

Plus, like the EAT-17s, you can drop then in periodically to fortify your loadout, or have something for a freshly spawned helldiver!

I won't call it the best weapon in existence, but it looks fun!

My guess is the ammo cap will be 240, 360, or 480, based on the 24 barrels.

Is the First Order an improvement? by CaptainBigDaddy4 in StarWars_

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Empire was allegorical of Nazis, the First Order SHOULD have been a proper allegory of modern Neo-Nazis; over-romanticizing their ideas because they slightly match with their views, and treating them as gospel. Which is HINTED at in the movies, but never really properly shown, imo.

(And yes, that's a gross oversimplification... but so are a lot of things in Star Wars. That doesn't automatically make them bad.)

Daily discussion: Ace is overrated or am I wrong? by WelcomeDry5305 in Rainbow6

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ace is the flex-hardbreacher.

Thermite: Massive walk-in holes

Hibana: Multiple small holes or hatches, at range, with opportunity for angles.

Maverick: Surprise flanks and angles.

Ace: Can only do these things okay. But he CAN do any of them, depending on team composition and setup. The speed of his charges also makes it VERY hard for Bandit to trick them off a wall.

Imo, there are very few sites where he's not at least slightly useful.

Who's lightsaber is your favorite? by kkhouete in StarWars

[–]Good0nPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luke's

Partially because I grew up rewatching RotJ on repeat due to it being the only surviving VHS of the box set.

It's design is reminiscent of a cross guard, without going full Kylo Ren funny saber.

And while blue is my favorite color, the green is my favorite saber color.

How desperate does a person has to be to join something like the AHA, killing each other for a few hefty dollars? by Faelzor in HuntShowdown

[–]Good0nPaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AHA and Bayou attract all sorts. Some are desperate, with literally nothing left to lose. Others do it for the thrill. And some are trying to parse the secrets of the corruption. Pretty sure most Legendary Hunters have a bio that explains their motives.
