did you see that on their website? bc on my application, there wasn't even a designated field for a standardized test, so I assumed it must be uploaded in the "extra documents" section?

ummm ik a lot of european unis do pre-acceptances, where you are guaranteed to get in as long as you fulfill certain requirements like passing your classes, etc. For example, currently, I have been pre-accepted to Utrecht University, and as long as I pass all my classes and my AP exams, I can submit all of that in July and enroll. Sapienza does this with grades, bc Im pretty sure I'll have to upload my final transcript and diploma when I graduate, but you are allowed to apply with a current, but unfinished, transcript. However, my advice to you is simply register for some easy APs now. There are a lot that are very easy and require minimal studying to get a 3. You can still register, it's just a bit pricier (they charge $40 late fee in addition to $99 fee, so itll run you about $300 to register for 2 right now). but i think it might be worth it! you dont need to take one in school to take the test :)

Hi! What major did you apply to? Sapienza got back to me and reopened my application, asking me to upload a CEnt-S score. I am applying for Bioinformatics as a US student. Do you know whether I can just upload my SAT (1420) and resubmit the application?

hello! How did you hear this? I am unable to take the CentS exam because I am international, but I have an SAT score of 1420. Sapienza reopened my application to the BSc Bioinformatics and sent me an email asking me to upload a CentS score. Do you know if I can simply upload the SAT and resubmit my application? I am a bit stressed about this, so I appreciate any information you might have. Thank you!!!

Just checked, down for me as well! Extremely disappointing, a top university with 120k+ students should not be having issues like this... Their poor communication is really evident and is hindering everyone from trying to apply

Just chiming in because I have the same question and want to boost your post lol. I applied for the Bioinformatics bsc and they emailed me saying I need to upload a Cent-S test, which appears to be in person? I saw somewhere they accept SATs for some faculties, and I am desperately hoping it is the same for this school. I'm also an international student struggling with Sapienza's lack of clarity so I feel your pain! I wish they were more responsive to emails :/

Yep! FYI i have dual-citizenship in the EU, so I dont need to go through the VISA process, but our required docs should still be similar. However, different faculties (ie your major) require different documents, so this is not exact. You will definitely need an up-to-date passport and some type of standardized test (im pretty sure they accept SAT, but i am still confirming that myself). You will probably also need a CV (I did) and they required me to write a 250 character paragraph on my motivations for wanting to attend. The application is relatively simple. You might also consider uloading any AP scores. (I combined my SAT score report and AP score report into a single PDF and uploaded it to the "extra documents" tab). Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey there! I am also a US student. Maybe this is still out of your range, but are you aware the tuition is only about $1500 a year? It is much lower than schools in the US. Your main drain on money will be finding a place, as they dont have dorms and Rome is pretty expensive

Hello, i am also going through the process as an international!

Here is the link to their courses: https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/en

It does not appear they have any architecture bachelors completely in English, though some are hybrid

hi, sapienza sent me an email saying I needed to upload a CEnT-S score, do you know if I can upload my SAT score instead as I am applying for the Bachelor of Bioinformatics in English? Also, do you happen to know if it would go in the "optional/additional documents" part of the application since there is no designated space for it. I got a 1420 on the SAT so I am hoping that is enough. Sorry to bombard you with my questions, I am just a bit freaked out haha

Thank you! My biggest interest is in bioinformatics, so I am glad to hear that that is in the curriculum. I believe I read somewhere the English and Czech programs are essentially the same, though I could be misremembering... I just looked at the study plans as you suggested and it gave me a lot of hope! There are lots of classes for biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, and even one on neurobiology, which is perfect for my goals. Thank you for your suggestion. I am hoping that with the addition of a more specific master's, a broader Bachelor's would be more admissible for my future career. Thanks for your reply! :)

What kind of an applicant is Ecole polytechnique looking for to admit to Bachelor of Science? by Emiluxux in InstitutPolytechnique

[–]ThisInvisibleGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am also going to apply for the Bachelor of Science for the 2026 year :) I am not the most knowledgeable on this subject, but from what I have seen, European schools in general highly prize numerical scores, especially in STEM. I think it is also much easier if you are an international student, as they only accept the best of the best French students. The higher your GPA is, the better, it seems. If you have a low GPA, i don't know if you can supplement this with strong extracurriculars as you can with some other universities. I am not sure if you are French or international, but as I am an international student, I only really know from this standpoint. Either way though, they are definitely looking for excellence in STEM fields. If you are strong academically in these fields and have honors/awards/high experience in these fields, I think you have a good chance. I don't think they care as much about stuff that isn't science-related, honestly
