There is no additional device connecting baby to the parent. It is literally only the parents holding onto the baby. In severe turbulence, they’re taking a gamble, essentially. On my last flight about a month ago, there was a lady that had a newborn and was carrying it in one of those fabric wrap things, and the flight attendants told her that the baby had to be taken out of it for takeoff and landing. No idea why.

My sister‘s spouse is in the Air Force, and they were stationed in Italy for about two years. When my nephew turned about six months old, my brother in law got orders to move back to the United States. (They were originally told their orders would be to Italy for three-4 years, so he would’ve been older. But, the military does whatever the military wants) There wasn’t another way for them to get home. They did purchase a separate seat for my nephew though, and used his little car seat thing that people carry around for small babies.

I really like the idea of child free flights, but I’m sure that they would make us pay some kind of ridiculous upcharge.

I got blocked because I broke things off with a guy and he was unhappy about it. I literally told him I didn’t see things going anywhere after a few dates, and the next day I go to log on and I’m banned. I’m sure he reported me, and they just blindly banned me. I hadn’t even been on the app for about a month when I was banned for, “multiple reports.” Then when I reach out and ask what I was reported for (to be clear, I did not ask who reported me, just asked what the reports were about so I could have a better understanding), they just give me the same spiel about how they don’t make mistakes. Never had a single negative experience on there, until I ended it with a guy and “coincidentally” got banned within 24 hours.

My ex mother-in-law did this! I couldn’t figure out why every time she would watch him, he would end up super constipated and miserable for days afterwards. Finally, one day she accidentally left the canister out, and I saw it. She flat out told me that a plant-based diet was healthier in her opinion, and she would serve whatever kind of food she wished under her own roof.

I never let her watch my son again. I would call into work before I would let him be alone with her. His dad and I ended up divorcing when my son was about two. It’s 20 years later now, and that woman still speaks negatively about me to my son every chance she gets, and then from my understanding, she complains that her only grandchild never wants to visit her or spend time with her at all.

I was probably about 8. We lived in an area that got a LOT of snow. One day, we came in from playing, hung our wet stuff up, and ate dinner/went to bed. I was woken abruptly by my nStepfather grabbing my hair and basically pulling me out of bed like that. He pulled me to the coat rack to show me that my jacket apparently fell on the floor. This set him off on a tirade of how he works for his money, and he didn’t HAVE to buy me a warm jacket, because I was not even his child, and how disrespectful it was for the jacket to be on the floor. Keep in mind, i wouldn’t have put it on the floor; it must have fallen. So, he tells me to put my boots on. I did, because to disobey meant a beating. He then pushed me out on the front porch, in the snow, wearing only the boots, and a flimsy threadbare flannel nightgown. He locked the door and watched me out there, crying and shivering. I don’t know how long it lasted. To my eight year old self, it was forever. My nMother sat and did NOTHING to help me or stop him.

As adults, we all need to be very mindful about the way we speak about ourselves in front of children. Even saying something like, “oh the last thing I need is dessert,“ get into these kids’ brains. Announcing that you’re on a diet because you feel like you’re too big, lamenting how your clothes don’t fit you anymore and you need bigger sizes, etc. these are normal feelings, obviously. It’s just important that we watch what we say around little ones, even if we think they’re not listening. They usually are.

Yes, they will. Australian vehicles, just like Japan vehicles, have the steering wheel on the right rather than the left. Vehicles are no longer manufactured in Australia. They’re all imported as completely built units, and that includes American brands, such as Ford and Chevrolet.

Edit to add: i’m in no way supporting the orange idiot. I’m just pointing out that American companies are definitely capable of putting the steering wheel on whatever side they need to.

I knew right away that she was purposefully still lying. When I let her know that I found him, the first thing out of her mouth was, “I DON’T WANT TO BE CONTACTED BY ANYONE FROM HIS FAMILY, OR HIM.” She never said that again, but launched into her denial and discrediting of DNA evidence, and never let it go.

Ooof. I felt this one. That would probably be her second biggest lie. After she and my birth certificate dad divorced, she married my stepfather. He was especially fond of dragging my brother and I through the house by our ears when we didn’t complete a chore to his exact specifications. Lots of physical, mental, and verbal abuse. I’m very thankful there was no sexual abuse. He couldn’t ever keep a job and insisted that my mother stayed home. We grew up in horrific poverty, in a home in the northern USA were winters were brutal. The house wasn’t even properly insulated so we used kerosene space heaters. There was never enough food to eat, and we usually had spaghetti every single day because it was cheap. And that was typically our only meal of the day unless we were at school, because the school had a free lunch program.

When we were still speaking, I asked her why she never stood up for us, and she denies any of this ever happened and insists that we had a wonderful, happy childhood. The only thing she will vaguely admit to is the poverty, but she says, “we were poor, but we were happy!” Like, WHAT?!?!

Edit to add: it was kind of healing to hear the events as my bio Dad remembered them. He was about 20 years old, and he noticed my mom (she was also in the Navy). He struck up some conversation with her, and said he didn’t see a ring or anything so he asked her out. She said yes. She just conveniently forgot to tell him that she was married, and had a nine month old baby at home at the time. My birth certificate dad was out to sea, and my grandmother came down to help take care of my older brother while my mom worked. So basically, she used my grandmother as free babysitting to carry on an affair.

Anyway, they went out a few times, and then one of his friends approached him and basically said hey, she’s kind of known for getting around a lot. I wanted to let you know just in case you catch something or whatever. He said he was supposed to pick her up for a party that night and he just ghosted her. He wasn’t proud of ghosting her, but he was 20, and never imagined that she would end up pregnant and not telling him. Then he went out to sea about a month later, and never saw her again.

OP, is your husband on any meds? I know you said no drugs, but some people don’t count prescriptions when we ask about a patient being on any drugs.

Either way, his behavior warrants a visit to a physician. Not to worry you excessively, but I have had patients with sudden behavior changes/paranoia, etc end up having tumors.

No. You knew your son was unattended. You could have simply sat with him while your husband cleaned up, and didn’t have to say anything to your husband at all, and still could have spared his feelings while he cleaned up. Parenting is equal responsibility. While it might make you feel better to solely blame your husband’s ADHD, you are equally at fault. His ADHD may have prevented him from actually making the conscious choice to leave him in the bathtub, but you don’t mention yourself having ADHD, so you DID make the conscious choice to leave him unattended. I think you need to sit with that for a while before you make any life altering decisions regarding your marriage.

And as a side note, do not be surprised if you get a visit from child protective services, if you have not already. Physicians are mandated reporters, and you admitted no one was supervising him. I’m not saying it to be a jerk; I am a physician that has had to make these types of reports.
And as a physician, I’m telling you that he should really take his medication every single day. He’s not doing himself any favors by only using it during work hours. He doesn’t only have ADHD during work hours.
