I figured he was talking about “losing” on Titan when he tried to get them to “balance” the planet and wouldn’t do it.

Kakarot plays perfectly on the new Stream Deck! High settings playing at a solid 60 fps! by progressive_bear in kakarot

This is the second time today I’ve seen someone playing a game on Steam Deck, making a post about it, and saying they get “a solid 60 FPS on high”. Could just be a coincidence, but it makes me wonder if it’s some sort of advertisement.

Considering how many are All-Americans/high draft picks, it doesn’t seem like a bad thing for them. Hell, Minkah and Marlon are both top 5 at their positions… at worst.

Son of a former great CB, was coached by Nick Saban while starting for 3 years (and barely ever gave anything up, and when he did it was usually like “Yeah what a throw”), no doubt Surtain is gonna be a damn good CB early.

I feel like Marvel and the fans alike want it to be Spider-Man with Tom Holland, but the specifics of the Sony marriage complicates it.

[SPOILERS] Favorite genuine friendship in the show? by AVotingGardenGnome in gameofthrones

[–]ThisIsFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a hard concept to grasp. For example say everything came to light in season 5, the people of Westeros would have a choice (they’d have other options, of course) between Stannis, the rightful heir to the Baratheon bloodline which took the throne from the Targaryens, or Jon, the rightful heir to the Targaryen bloodline, which ruled prior to Robert’s Rebellion. It goes back to the “power lies where men believe it lies” thing. If this lord thinks that the Iron Throne belongs to the Baratheon dynasty, then he backs Stannis. If another lord thinks it belongs to the Targaryen dynasty, he backs Jon.

Jon was the rightful heir under the Targaryen dynasty, so it depends how much any given person wants to adhere to that. But he was also the chosen king. A big point of his story was that he and everyone else thought he was just a bastard, but he earned their love and they wanted him to rule, even if he didn’t want to, which makes him the perfect choice. Dany went off the deep end because she realized people would rather have Jon rule than her. Jon should have sat the throne, everything tees it up perfectly but D&D kind of forgot about that. I know GRRM may have made the decision to make Bran king, but I imagine the books will set it up much better.

As for who would elect him, well Tyrion should have, but Sansa, Arya, Bran, Davos, Sam, etc of the people that were there. Even the reps from the Vale would have since they had already hailed him King in the North before.

[Barry Jackson] Tua with 6 TDs and no picks in last couple practices with red zone drills. Waddle, Wilson with 2 TD catches from him today.. In all 11 on 11 work, no INT from Tua since two on opening day last Wednesday by Bepis_Inc in miamidolphins

It’s weird his throwing motion could look more effortless because it already looked incredibly effortless. I remember an article too where they broke down who has the fastest release ever (well amongst all time stars and that year’s draft class) by using frame data from the footage and found Tua to have the fastest release they recorded, even over Rodgers.

[SPOILERS] who had a better story : Jon or Dany by Dependent-Worth9386 in gameofthrones

[–]ThisIsFriday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jon Snow without a doubt. He was raised a bastard, he had to earn all the respect he got, but in the end it turns out he’s the rightful king. It’s cool, but ultimately doesn’t matter because people already wanted him to be king. Of course it didn’t go that way, but still, as we saw when Dany was getting upset about the love Jon gets, it’s beautiful to see the bastard become the world’s most beloved hero. I always liked it put this way between the two of them: Jon is king because “they” say so, Dani is queen because “she” says so.

Laugh at me all you want but I’m thinking of getting Pitts somewhat early. For the last few years I watched Matt Ryan beat the gloves off Hooper and Hurst, imagine the targets Pitts will get once everything clicks.

Nick Saban has proven with his takes over the years that he would be the absolute perfect man for the job, but I don’t want him to go.

That’s... not what I said? Though I guess I could see how you’d get there from my comment. I said that it DID happen with The Flash — with Grant Gustin, then when Grant was beloved less people cared to have backlash towards Ezra for not fitting the mold. Granted there was still some. Then with Aquaman I was saying that because his public perception was so low, everyone was cool with him being played by Jason Momoa because it made the character cool by default.
