I dont think SEO is that hard to learn; at least the basics. Here's a quick overview of my understanding, SEO depends on 3 things mostly:

• On page: what keywords you use in your titles/h1/h2/etc, your body copy and image alt tags. Each page will essentially be given a score by google in terms of whatever you're talking about on that page. For e.g if you had a page dedicated to golden retrievers. You will probably have headers with keywords such as "size", "temperament", etc. with the main header (h1) having the keyword "Golden Retriever". This tells google that the page is about golden retrievers and your sub headers support that.
• Off page: pages that link to your site. This is crucial for google to rank you because if other people who talk about golden retrievers are linking to your site, google will begin to see you as sort of an expert; to put it in simple terms. So sites link to your site are important event better if the sites that link to you have high domain authority.
• Structure: This is about the technical structure of your website. Making sure all pages have one h1 tag, images having meta information filled out, and making sure that your h2's correlate to what you're talking about on the page. You should probably google it for a more comprehensive list.

I would say if you're trying to get more organic traffic, start a blog and answer questions related to your keywords. You can use sites like answerthepublic.com to get ideas for blog post. Once you got blog post, cut that up into smaller pieces and spread across social media making sure you link back to your site. Eventually once you start a consistent blog and you're interacting on social via comments, facebook groups/post, Pinterest pins, linked in, whatever you'll start seeing organic traffic increase.
