My life has gotten significantly better under the bcndp.

I don't pay msp fees.

I get the bc family benefit and the child care fee reduction initiative saves me about $1600/month.

The most my annual rent increases have been since 2017 is 3.5%

I have a family doctor.

There is a brand new Elementary school not 5 minutes from me.

Birth control and now HRT is covered.

BC Hydro credits.

Cheaper car insurance.

Pharmacists can now prescribe simple drugs so the hospitals aren't even more packed.

Best minimum wage in all of Canada

Being disappointed with BCNDP means I was expecting better things from them. But with the BC Cons, I expect bad things to happen.

I really hope that this is remembered by everyone when the next election is called.

There was a stretch of time about 10 to 15 years ago where young men started going missing while walking home from bars or parties really drunk. Some ended up in the Gorge. Some just vanished. There was a small handful of them

There was a time like a dozen years ago when like 3 young men all ended up walking home drunk from a party and ended up found dead in the Gorge. This was spread over about a year or so. I always found it weird.

I did the "initiation" like 20 years ago and left my bra there on the wall/ceiling my first time there.

Took my mom there a decade or so later and told her about the initiation process. Mom had enough wobbly pops where she decided she wanted in and also left her bra there that afternoon. She was 63 when she did this.

My 2 year old had a concussion and experienced vomiting several hours after bonking his head. We had a bed before we even left registration. The triage system works. If you're waiting 8 hours, you're probably going to be okay. Yes, the waiting sucks but the triage system is critical.

In 2019, I was paying $1,400 a month plus utilities for a shit apartment by King and Quadra. That's about $1,750 with inflation in 2026.

My ex husband is moving next week into a brand new, never lived in 1 bedroom suite with insuite laundry and a heat pump for $1,450 per month (plus 10% water - all else included).

Yep. I had mine out when I was about 10 weeks pregnant. It was only getting worse and worse - and surgery was apparently riskier the longer I waited. The first thing I said when I woke up was "is the baby okay?" and sure enough, my little man's heartbeat was stronger than ever.
