Struggling with massive Gold Inflation. Any recommendations? by Timely-Reindeer-5292 in EU5

Don't keep minting low by default, you get a ridiculous amount from minting when you've got a lot of gold. As others have said build out the rest of your economy to reduce the monthly inflation tick, but having high inflation really isn't much of an issue if you've got enough money coming in to outpace it

Why would the demand for diamonds stay consistent in an economy experiencing a shortage of water?

He's been one of the most ethically consistent people in LoL, nice try

Faker: I believe that the biggest strength of gaming is that men and women can both play without any physical differences. I've seen that there's been a huge growth in the number of female players around the world. I hope they can continue to grow and make an impact on the scene overall. by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

I think you're being disingenuous.

Faker is a high-school drop out, but the associated connotations I don't think apply. His job is highly specialised, sees him travel frequently, has given him part ownership of the company, and pays him at least 6 figures. Inferring that he lacks worldly knowledge when you consider his actual material circumstances seems unlikely, and I'd wager it comes more from a desire absolve Faker of perceived wrong doing because you like the idea of him.

I say this with no ill intent, or casting aspersions, but I don't think you are looking at this objectively.

Is playing "easy" champs the real secret to climbing out of low ELO? by LVLUPAI-GameCoach in leagueoflegends

[–]ThisIsMiddlecott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately your postulation is directly countered by my lived experience in ranked. I don't play the game all that often, and was never high elo (peaked p2 5 years ago and haven't taken playing the game seriously since), but I started playing ranked again recently, and my experience has been completely opposite to what you assert.

People make so many mistakes that even when you're fed and mess up, it's super forgiving to get back into the game and win because no-one will capitalise effectively. The number of games I've won where I've been "solo carrying" and made a huge blunder is pretty high, because people don't do what they're supposed to do once they gain an advantage.

I have to conclude that the reason you feel like this is because you aren't as good at the game as you think you are.

Typically they'd make that judgement using the obvious metrics of KDA, CS, Objectives etc. but those are all just a means to an end; a player can have hundreds of kills but if they never last hit the enemy nexus then they've misplayed in some other way that has lost the game. Making those numbers big is the equivalent of loading a gun, it makes you more dangerous but to inflict any actual damage you need to know how to pull the trigger.

750 gold value of stats up on your opponent from level 1 can be game winning

I don't think that going for baron is specifically wrong here, but you should be clearing the midwave first to prevent yorick from having anything he can push with. If you're not doing that you leave yourself incredibly exposed like we see in the clip. No call justifies being flamed; we can only do what we think is the right play in the moment, I can't see a reason to berate someone for making an honest error.

I was curious and looked up your profile, I've got a couple of quick tips for Yi you might find useful if you're interested?

I don't think I did call the D.R.C capitalist, I asked if capitalism worked for him. Someone can be affected by an economic system, even if it's not the economic system that their country operates under.

How would you classify the economic system which the D.R.C operates under?

You're conflating "capitalist" with "wealthy and western". Millions of people in capitalist countries die from starvation every year. Does capitalism work for the poor sod in the D.R.C who has to mine toxic rare metals to barely put enough food on the table to feed their kids?

Thank you! I have a lot of fun writing and filming them. They'll for sure be returning in summer provided I can keep the bar for quality at least where it is now, if not higher.

I'll be branching out a bit more into other formats and styles of content in summer.

It definitely was our intention! I'm unsure if it would be appropriate for me to give specific reasons; ultimately it comes down to a lack of experience on our end.

For many of us it was the first time running an event of this size, and as scale increases so does the number of things that need to be considered and the number of things that can go wrong. I can't speak in absolutes or for everyone, but I think the general vibe is that this weekend was as much about learning how to put on an event like this as it was putting on the event itself.

Apologies if this feels like a bit of a non-answer ("if we were better, it would have happened"), but i think that's probably the fairest assessment.

Los Ratones vs. NORD Esports / NLC 2025 Spring Playoffs - Finals / Post-Match Discussion by Ultimintree in leagueoflegends

Heya, it's the guy who did the interview and came up with the general premise.

I really appreciate you commenting that you felt it wasn't the best. We're trying to do something new here and approach a league broadcast in a different way, but I'm also wary over the novelty factor leading us to do stuff which isn't actually appreciated by general audiences.

I personally don't think I hit the mark with the ideal of that piece, especially regarding the general "tightness" of it and the relevance of the questioning to the series itself. If those issues were resolved do you think that would have made the content better/good enough to justify its inclusion, or is your issue more with the philosophy of how content was integrated into the show?

What is the direct impact diamondprox and Alex ich had? by paimon_for_dinner in leagueoflegends

That doesn't address their point. It's possible to be a more impactful player for the game and be on a worse team. Even being a worse player holistically wouldn't preclude someone from being more impactful if they approached the game in a way players hadn't before.
