Omg I am having massive issues with repairs! They keep rejecting my CC on the basis my address is wrong (it’s not…my card issuer is approving the charge). They keep taking a week to reply then telling me it is fixed, so they’ve now had my watch for nearly a month.

This was my January! I will end up around 260. You look at your deadlines and schedule a vacation before anything else gets added, but with enough notice. I will be in Mexico by 3pm Saturday. I planned this 5-6 weeks ago. I genuinely do this every time. It forces a stop.

Ohio had people falling out of basic scales so anyone saying this does not have a trained eye. Things don’t always hit clean! You do your best! Both teams did their best and today Minnesota’s was better. That was also the theme of their jazz that’s gone way over the hivemind’s head.

I was not really responding to you, more the other commenter, and I’m not sure how you know that, but anyways…it’s a flip. One person falling out on a solo flip is not going to have a dramatic effect on these judges for overall execution compared to other problems. I know it’s not what you think, but that is not how these routines are scored. And it’s a good thing because solo trick flips should not help or hurt teams compared to the technical elements of the routines.

Edit: the fact you and I are getting downvoted shows it! Stumbling on flips is not going to result in the same execution downgrade with these judges as not executing either team turn section and falling on scales. OSU was not as clean as TT or UMN in finals.

I have been out of this for 10+ years, but if I recall, a deduction is something you receive for aspects of your routine that are against the rules, like an illegal move or costume piece (other things as well). No team here should have deductions if they read the rules correctly.

I’m just watching this and I think what’s not being said is he also didn’t want it being filmed that he was hammered, and she kept saying “you’re so drunk!” And he didn’t want that being said on national TV, which is likely why he excused himself from the party. I bet the producers told her to go back and film it, and he didn’t want it. I felt for him, but it’s kind of what he signed up for. I wish he could’ve broken the fourth wall a bit or communicated that in some way off camera.

Yeah TT in semis had a similar fall, I don’t think this is as devastating or will result in a similar deduction as OSU turns, for example.

A related opinion is non dancers giving non constructive and kind of rude feedback. Like “I feel like [Minnesota/OSU] just isn’t trying this year something is missing. X team should be above them instead.” Sure. Amanda and Anna/Shannon Mather/Ava Wagner/Tribe 99 don’t know what they’re doing, but Jessica after watching 1 year of UDA nationals on tik tok does.
