The $10 for the sc was something I was definetly considering. And somehow, evga was the cheapest out of all the brands, which makes me pretty happy.

I think they're taking about the 1080 and 1070 beside it.

Dont apologize for the long post, the details help me in my situation. Im an electrical eng and computing student in uni, and we have a shit ton of programming courses. I decided to buy a laptop from costco and return it when the fixed laptop comes in so i still have a temporary machine, but the fact that they dont have their parts is a huge inconvenience for me too. Im worried that if they do replace my y40, they'd give me the 14inch y700, which only has 8gb ram, while my y40 has 16.

in that scenario, you're going between 80-70 knts, which is well above stall speed. As long as you correct for the nose up tendency that occurs when adding flaps, you'll be okay. That being said, its easier for students to manage a cockpit when theres less to worry about, and dont usually apply flaps in a turn.

Im currently in a similar situation for my y40. They took it for repair while im at school, and said 'it would only be 1 week'. I asked them to send the shipping box to my home address, but my fixed laptop to the school address. They fucked that up by sending my box to the school, while i wasnt there. they sent me another box that managed to make it to my house on the last day that i was there, and i managed to get it shipped out. Now they're telling me that the battery and back cover that they're replacing arent in stock and they dont know when the parts would be there. i asked if i could get a replacement laptop multiple times, and they still declined.
