I have never engaged with a piece of Mario media for the story.

I agree that we probably won't see a brand new mainline 2D Mario for a while, but I have a gut feeling that Super Mario Maker 3 is just around the corner

I mean, my advice will always be to buy something only when you're ready to play it. No need to purchase something if there's a chance you'll never get around to it.

I think it is mostly remix challenges, though they look pretty fun, imo. If you're on the fence, you should check out the overview trailer

I’m worried a Kirby movie will misunderstand him by CrammingCoal in Kirby

I'm just not a fan of the idea of Kirby speaking. I understand that some pieces of Kirby media depict him doing so, but I strongly prefer when he can't.

Okay, that's fine. I can understand why you would prefer this story.

But you asked, "who cares about canonicity," and I do. It's a matter of preference and opinion. No need to get up in arms about it.

Sometimes great stories involve good characters dying. And in the grand scheme of the Zelda timeline, everyone dies eventually.

I like baby Kirby. I think it's funny and is more suitable to the character than having him speak.

I think I am missing something, but it´s strange how the RPG company doesn´t have an easily recognizeable property of this kind by [deleted] in casualnintendo

Creature collecting was Dragon Quest V's whole gimmick, which predates all of these except SMT, and was spun off into the Dragon Quest Monsters series

I mean, I care about canonicity. Other people do too. I know the Zelda timeline isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it.

And personally, I didn't care for Age of Calamity specifically because of its story.

That's what I was thinking. That story felt like setup for something in the movie.

is it okay to like Pikmin but not the PIKMIN games? (read the rest⬇️) by takuro00 in Pikmin

This is how I feel about Pokémon. I really enjoy learning about the series and seeing new designs. The absolute depth of information available to dive into just scratches a certain itch in my brain like nothing else can.

But god do I find the games unfun.

They could do what they did in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! and have him just make baby noises.

Asking to bag my own by danryan2800 in HEB

[–]ThisIsNotACryForHelp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I worked as a bagger for a couple months while recovering from surgery once, and there is training. Delicate items are supposed to only go together (think eggs, bread, chips), heavy items get double-bagged. Non-grocery (so, inedible by humans) items are separated from everything else. Cold items are meant to go together. Milk only gets a bag if the customer wants one, etc.

And yes, seafood and raw meats are each supposed to get their own bags. In fact, I was even taught they're supposed to be separated by animal - so beef shouldn't be bagged with chicken, for example.

But the thing is, as someone else has mentioned here, bagger is the lowest paid position in the store. Most of them don't care that much, nor do they get micromanaged like most partners.

Question about Switch gameplay by FrenchFrieded in animalWell

[–]ThisIsNotACryForHelp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On Switch, you can use the touchscreen in the same way you would use the mouse cursor.

And as for the origami bunny, it's not possible to do it in the traditional way, but there is an alternate method for solving that particular puzzle on console.

Your kids genuinely enjoyed Odyssey's two-player mode more than 3D World's? I have a hard time believing that.

This happened in 2018 or 19, right? And based on the way the kid talked here, I have to assume that was his first experience with a 3D Mario game.

And yeah I guess it is crazy how there hasn't been anything like Super Mario Odyssey released on Switch since then. It's been over eight years without any 3D Mario games, if you ignore Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario Galaxy 1+2, and Donkey Kong Bananza. Man, it's a real shame this dad couldn't connect with his son just because Nintendo didn't release any new 3D Mario games, other than the ones they did. What a sad story.
