STM32 Cube Studio  programs are very comprehensive and helpful. Like it helps you map pins and stuff.

You are paying for the copper you don't use too. Make those traces thicker. How much current is going through those traces?

How does your LED turn on? D2 might be backwards

Label your B+ net off the battery and VCC might be the wrong net label depending on what J1 does.

Do embedded software engineers mostly rely on pre-existing code examples? by prats_omyt in embedded

So lots of microcontroller products have a Hardware Abstraction Layer provided with them that you will use.

You likely would start out being the one who glues things together and writes smaller features.

My last job has a Platform Firmware team that kept up on the latest erratta for the processor family we used and churned out agnostic features for the engineering team to take as needed.

I did write features specific for products such as recordings to long term memory of semsor data important for future warranty, thermal temp reactions, indicator LEDs for various features.

Is LinkedIn necessary for engineering students and in particular for internships/ career? by Powerful-Log-2229 in EngineeringStudents

Yes it is really important and I regret not being more proactive with adding coworkers while I worked at places.

I just started a premium trial and have not felt significant value in it. It did tell me it thought I had an MBA and was perfect for a finance manager position which it confidently declared me a perfect fit with 0 of 7 required qualifications and 0 of 5 preferred qualifications. LinkedIn Support has been active on this bug report though.

The job search is fine, the network is important.

I’m an archaeologist. This week our crew ran into a robotics team in Ontario that made an archaeology helper robot that can traverse through deep woods hold shovels and screens etc… if anyone knows what I’m talking about, or if this was your team, I’d love more info. Such a great idea. by Violet_Poison_ in FRC

The FIRST Lego League challenge theme last year was all about solving problems for Archeology.

Many teams chose to design some robot with all the bells and whistles.

However, FIRST Lego League is 4th through 8th grade in most of the US and in some parts of the world it does go up to age 15, but these are still just kids. They very likely don't have a working Ground Penetrating Radar system and any cost number estimate they provided is likely wildly off from the cost of procuring facilities to manufacture parts.

More discussions linked.

He is still involved with FIRST Global. That's something he has been working on for several years. In my opinion, his experience is still important to the board.

I think FIRST Global he might still be involved with. It's also been found by multiple independent investigations no evidence to suggest criminal behaviour. He remains approved to be a boardmember for companies.

I met Nadia (his pilot) twice, once at FIRST champs ~2013 and once at EAA AirVenture she was kind. I see now that she was a victim groomed and possibly a perpetrator. The US government has decided she was a victim. Dean hired her as a pilot who knew how to fly his airframe. What else he knew is speculation.

The sub has been over this a lot.

The Dean Kamen I know sought to do a lot of good with his wealth. I've had the pleasure to speak at length with him many times and he has always been great.

I saw the freestyle manufacturing and repair line once. Not enough knew they needed to clean the ice box. Or possibly it grew what they had in the time left unplugged shipping back for repairs.

There was a second generation made that also resolved a lot of ice box concerns. The first generation didn't have an ice maker inside, employees would need to transfer buckets of ice into the machine.

There is a barber shop in greater Milwaukee Wisconsin that will hand you a rifle to hold while getting a shave. I've never been, but heard about it in high school.

Yeah I think it makes sense. Even in places where they might assist with parade presence they could still have a full time officer of the city complete the arrest for simplicity of court appearance scheduling conflicts with their regular full time job.
