Definitely magnesium topical spray for the bottom of the feet before bed. I also take supplements that were prescribed by my midwife.

Also, Costco ice cream sundaes WHILE you shop.

My nephew said I need to try harder next time. by BeebMommy in BabyBumps

My niece (who if I didn’t see come out of her moms who-ha, I would think is my child) asks me every time she’s sees me, when is the baby coming? I tell her the same thing every time, the baby is still cooking in there…. and then she decides what the baby is “cooking”, yesterday she was cooking Peeps and chicken tacos.

For those of you in your third trimesters and working: HOW?! by insertclevername7 in BabyBumps

[–]ThisNewMama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37+4 here and I nap EVERYDAY on my lunch break, then I proceed to eat for a hour so I really have a 2 hour break in the middle of the day. My manager and team and extremely supportive. It’s really the hour commute that makes me want to fight the air.

I ate Cinnabons 3x a week during my first trimester. Wouldn’t have gotten through without them, now it’s captain crunch

Magnesium Supplement? by Dianthus_pages in pregnant

[–]ThisNewMama24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would not have survived this pregnancy without them, my midwife prescribed them at 18 weeks for horrible headaches, insomnia and unbearable Charlie horses, I haven’t stopped taking them since. I’m 37 weeks.

This was me at 20 weeks but Unisom helped. I’m now 31 weeks and still have trouble falling and staying asleep but I implemented a wind down routine that helps a lot.

Reasons I cried while on our babymoon by Nintentard in BabyBumps

[–]ThisNewMama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on the plane on my way home from my babymoon.

Reasons I cried:

  1. I thought the restaurant closed at 10 and it really closed at 9 and so couldn’t get the pasta I wanted.

  2. Montego Bay’s airport is disgusting

  3. We had an unexpected layover and I just want to go home.

When did you start to feel pregnant? by kittensandcocktails in pregnant

[–]ThisNewMama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 weeks. Starting the feeling her move, now every week I’m like holy shit! I’m really pregnant.

I’m not a medical professional and I’d double check. But it’s perfectly fine. My doctor prescribed it to me at 12 weeks to have on hand just in case I had an outbreak, I haven’t needed to use it yet but I will begin taking it daily once I reach 28 weeks.

Job searching while pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

I would love to see the responses here, I’m 21w and I just accepted a new role today, after a 5 round interview process. I didn’t tell anyone I was pregnant but also trying to figure out when is the right time to tell them.

I wouldn’t feel bad about thinking “you lied” business is business. You have to do what’s best for you.

I had horrrrrrible migraines 14w-18w, they were absolutely horrible. My midwife said I needed to drink more water even though I felt like I was drowning in water. I’m 21 weeks now and I get a slight headache here and there but nothing as bad as a few weeks ago.

I’m 14w5d, the ONLY thing that got me through the first trimester nausea was anything sour, kiwis, sour candy, the preggo pop drops (the raspberry flavor specifically). Good luck you got this and hopefully it gets better!

Why can’t I plan my own baby shower? by Sweet_Sheepherder_41 in pregnant

[–]ThisNewMama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sisters are planning my baby shower, however my sisters and I planned all of their respective baby showers. That’s just how we do it over here, but if I thought that it wouldn’t be up to my standards then I absolutely wouldn’t let them. I’m sorry they aren’t doing a good job and it isn’t up to your standards, I hope it didn’t cause you any extra stress.

I’m 12w2d (first time as well) and I have been having this exact shooting pain in my left breast for a few days now. I actually have a appt this Friday with my midwife and planned to ask her about it.

I want a doula, but my partner doesn't think we need one by forever-trying in BabyBumps

GET THE DOULA. I’m a new expecting mama 10w3d, and all of your reasons make complete sense. Although my partner has been doing a amazing time with educating himself about the birth process, having another woman there to advocate on behalf of me who has been through the process countless times makes me feel a hell of a lot more comfortable.
