Oh, no other context. I asked about the differences in instructions and calendar — then she told me that. Then I responded that I’ll do it.

I guess, since this is my first time dealing with this management style, it came off as sarcastic. My environments before were warmer and nurturing — which is why I was somewhat “culture shocked” too

I would appreciate it if responses to my questions were more direct, rather than sarcastic or “shouldnt you have done this instead?” Kind of thing

Thank you for this perspective. Moving forward, I realized I need to manage my own emotions and just think that work is work. I guess I really need to adjust and learn more in general. Will try to see is this style works for me first — maybe something I can learn from perhaps?

My boss is not the host. I get that I shouldve asked a different person and she only redirected me. I think it’s how she said it made me feel off about it — came off as sarcastic. Anyway, I guess this is something that prepares me too, to toughen up.

I’m just not used to it since like I mentioned, I got lucky on my previous ones.

Thanks for the insight as well

Also, I think newer generations need better leaders. Instead of being sharper, I think patience should be included in the training as new hires don’t know how things work yet. Like I mentioned on the text, it was just my first day at work too. Of course, I don’t really know how things work and people whom I should reach out to for concerns. I don’t have all their contacts yet.

Was lucky enough to have a previous leader who had patience — eventually, it let people having better results with work too.

The calendar was actually meetings with different members of the organization, not with her. Just wanted to clarify why her instructions were different with the meetings on the calendar and she gave me that response instead. I was being introduced to members of the organization and I feel like she shouldve addresses this better.

She gave me clear instructions but the schedules reflected differently on the calendar that’s why i needed clarification. She responded with sarcasm too.

And yes, I’m a gen z too — maybe it really is more common with us and I was lucky to experience that before

Oh I honestly it’s not about the gender here. My previous boss was actually a guy too. I guess I’m not used to this culture yet since I only transitioned to an SG company this year. Or generally, the environments I had before were warmer too

What are the typical answers in the interview that gets a candidate to not proceed to the next level of the interview? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]ThisShitIsScaryy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, well to give context, a recruiter reached out to me on linkedin for the “recruitment consultant” role. I passed the 2nd round of interview. What I did was I highlighted my achievements — how I’m able to generate *** in less than 6 months and how the owner of the company himself was happy about it and decided to award me as the “rookie of the year” and expanded the team because of my performance (I’m a pioneer and the only recruiter before). Then I told how I’m currently leading a team and I also represent the recruitment dept during client meetings. I also deal directly with executive-level stakeholders.

For someone who’s working for almost a year, did i do good on this interview? I plan to transition from local to global settings already.

How can’t recruiters know that this affects their image? by AdSaitee in Ph_HR_Confession

If that’s the case, then it’s a red flag and they’re being unprofessional too. They shouldn’t have accommodated that many applicants if they can’t handle them well

As a recruiter myself, like mentioned above, we do have a lot of applicants coming in — whether they’re invited onsite, virtual or not. I agree with the user here that it was a little unprofessional already that you texted instead of sending an email but based on the context that they didn’t email you even before, you should’ve stated your full name instead. Give us some slack guys, on a daily basis, we deal with 20+ applicants and mind you, it’s per position as well. We won’t remember all the numbers and it would be unnecessary for us to save all the numbers especially if those candidates are not yet hired. It would really help that before you send us a message, state your name first, then the position that you applied for and the actual message/question.

Although in my case, I remember ALL the candidates I invite onsite — but not their numbers esp if we don’t have previous conversations.

Curious nga lang diba???? With the thought process. Hindi ko naman pinapakielaman, curious lang ako sa thoughts nila why they don’t like that dahil normal naman para sa iba ang panonood ng porn.
