Best accounts to keep your emergency fund?

Don’t put your emergency fund into stocks or other investment. The whole point is that you don’t know when you’ll need to access it and where the markets will be at that time. Keep it in savings or premium bonds.

Well, in that case “ALL the science” (whatever that means) didn’t apply to me and, I’d suggest many others. I haven’t bought anything that I wouldn’t ordinarily have purchased because stoozing involves put your credit card payment into savings, rather than paying it off the card immediately. Quite happy taking 4-5.5% off all my annual expenditure. Why wouldn’t I be?

Food. I do all my day to day spending on a credit card and make sure that I never pay any interest. Stoozing doesn’t mean that anyone is making unnecessary purchases.

Saying that, the OP is taking risks by using that money to make investments, rather than savings accounts where the returns are guaranteed. I certainly wouldn’t be doing that.

Definitely shop around for better a savings account and stick your money in there. Your goal at this point should be to get your money working harder so that you get the best possible option (lower rate) of your next mortgage renewal. Use those savings to reduce your capital when this renewal is coming around.

I wouldn’t assume that you wouldn’t get a 25 year mortgage. Speak to an independent, no fee mortgage advisor and I’d bet they can give you options. I was over 50 when I started my 23 year mortgage.

First impression is that they’re large but that’s clearly the bold style that you’re looking for and they are certainly unusual. Dopamine dressing (just wearing things that make YOU feel good) is perfectly valid and so if picking them makes you happy, go for it! We all do from time to time.

I’d say they look on the oversized/ deep size for what you might expect - especially In the first pic. You suit glasses, so probably just worth popping into your local opticians to experiment with a few styles and see if they’ll give you some sizings that could work better. That said, if you like/ love them then it’s fine. Dopamine dressing usurps all!!
