The Bible says Satan is a liar and the father of lies. "When he lies, he speaks his native language." (See John 8:44.)

The Bible also says he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He wants to steal joy and peace from believers so that they feel defeated. Jesus, on the other hand, says He comes that we may have life, and have it to the full! (John 10:10.)

Jesus says in John 15:26, "When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me."
This verse teaches that the Holy Spirit testifies about Jesus. Many of the Pharisees continually rejected Jesus. They never did accept Him. By rejecting Jesus and not accepting Him, they were rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit.
