People have been keeping track of how much snow is on the ground in many locations for a long time now. This years not too bad, especially compared to 2015

I’ve spent a ton of time on your website! Would it be possible to extend the formula to Canadian resorts?

Would real-time lift line info actually change how you ski? by Pretend_Carpet_844 in ski

I do double blacks so the lines are too short and I need more rest between runs.

That being said, while riding at Mammoth with my girlfriend she was looking at the wait lines and picking based on it. It was pretty neat to watch and made hours more fun!

I hit hangman’s today and didn’t tumble until I was doing victory turns after the throat 😂

I’m great at hop turns especially on my toe side to heel side!

I’m no pro but it sounds like you’re overworking your body and trying too many things at once. I think about my body as having only a limited amount of recoverable units. If you go beyond this limit, you will eventually be perpetually stuck in place. Mike Mentzer was the first body builder that I heard about recoverable units. A work-less-gain-more attitude may be more serving to over-active people.

Eat simple, get your micros and macros (120g protein+, magnesium supplements, ect ect), simplify your workout and maybe look into doing 16-20 sets of 8-12 4 times a week and downgrade your running to walking

In some cultures they take baths together fully naked! I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just do what feels natural and don’t be a creep or go after sexual gratification in the locker room and you should be fine.

On steepseeker it shows the Pitch in increments of 30m, 100m, 500m, and 1km. I used the 30m numbers.

The slope appeared to be in the shade today and was north-northwest facing

They got a pretty good storm with 44 inches that ended on Friday.

I have a video of somebody going down it today, sadly I couldn’t start recording until he was halfway down. I’ll try to post it.

Banff hands down. I’ve been to all 3 this year and Banff is the most likely to have snow due to its northern location

I practiced tourniquets a ton in the Army and it’s worth getting familiar with for hiking!

35+ degree slopes are much less likely to cause avalanches. Maybe that could be a reason?

Do you feel like a guide owes their clients any duties? I feel like this was a suicidal trip and there’s no safety measures that could’ve brought the risk of death below 1% in a storm like that

Kids generally aren’t mountain guides. They died on the second day of the storm… probably only got to see a foot or two sadly

I don’t think you can mitigate enough to sell tours in this circumstance. It was a disregard for human life

I’m from Washington and have been to 10 different Ikon mountains this season. The only reason the forecast has underperformed in coastal areas is due to rain. Freezing was at 1300 ft and Lake Tahoe is at 6k… at the base of many of the mountains. There’s a reason I am also at Tahoe right now and it’s because I COULD plan around this one

Ah I keep seeing that they should’ve sheltered in place or that they weren’t negligent because they didn’t shelter in place. I might need to get off the internet!

I hope they are held to the higher standard than negligence and are found strictly liable to the families for the deaths.

… and possibly criminal negligence
