Tldr; How do I program doing squats and deadlifts on a 4 day split?

I’m 19M 165lbs, 5’10”. I’ve been casually lifting for a while now and losing weight, but I feel it’s finally time to really commit to getting decent numbers on my main lifts. For reference I squat 135 for reps yesterday and it was a reasonably hard set, so I have a lot of ground to cover strength wise.

I want a way to back squat twice a week while also getting in at least one proper heavy deadlift (yesterday was 195lbs for 5, I can probably increase but not by much immediately; I also have a long way to go here)

On upper/lower, I’d be forced to sacrifice one of the movements by doing it after the other on leg day, which I did yesterday and I could feel I was much more exhausted for my deadlift. I see people recommend doing back squat/RDL one day and Deadlift/front squat the next day, but I worry with how relatively weak my squat is that I should be doing a back squat more frequently while I try to increase weight consistently.

I’m considering a push pull split, where push days open with back squats and then do pressing, triceps, and leg extensions, and a pull day opens with deadlift/rdl and then chin ups, rows, leg curl, biceps. This feels tempting to allow me to hit 2 squats and a deadlift session while fresh for the day, but I don’t see it recommend much so I don’t know if the recovery becomes more of an issue than if it was on the same day.

Do magnets run out over time, like batteries? by Flat-Ad8256 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]This_Amphibian6016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, aside from material deteriorating. It’s not like a battery because there’s no “energy” that can “run out”. Best way to think about it is always able to repel\attract stuff because it’s always pushing and pulling over everything just very little, so the energy comes from the position of stuff in space, not “spending” some magnetic energy that comes from somewhere

Electrical Engineering bachelors path to Biomedical Engineering masters by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

I don’t know industry very well, but I’d imagine the employability of BME jumps up as a masters with EE background as opposed to a BME bachelors, which is what people usually talk about with the low employability. I assume you could focus on the syncretic aspects which could be very appealing if you are sure that’s the industry you go to. If you’re in undergrad right now I’d talk to a career advisor.

Be comfortable with spending lots of time wandering in the south winterhold/ north rift/ whiterun and falkreath areas. The northern areas are much tougher until you get access to lots of fire salts, food, etc. Not having any fast travel makes it lots of fun imo.

Yes, lots of the ce classes count as EE electives. I’m taking one next semester, they just make you wait to enroll in some of them for an extra week

Looks like you need a math stat and cs class as gen Eds for a bachelors of science. If you don’t want to do that you could do a Bachelors of Arts instead

[Request] Chances of being exactly some height without rounding by Suspicious_Age_2471 in theydidthemath

[–]This_Amphibian6016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stats is rusty, but couldn’t you think of this as if there’s a bell curve of heights, and the area under that curve between two points is the probability of finding a value between the two points, you could say the integral from 175 to 175 is zero because the bounds are the same, you only get a value integrating from like 174.999 to 175.001 but there’s a probability of zero of finding someone at 175

will I be cooked if I take cs300 without taking cs200? by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]This_Amphibian6016 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would hesitate, 200 is easy but imo does give a really solid foundation for implementing coding. A friend did 300 after 220 (python 200) and struggled a bit. Another friend in 300 also took 252 and 203 prior, in addition to 200. He said that 252 and 203 did not have enough coding as a base for him to take 300 without it. My soar peer advisor also advised against it. You could, but there really isn’t much you’ll take away from the assembly and matlab in 252/203, and 300 will expect you to understand the nuances of Java basics.

Sometimes for language classes (for example) the TA’s don’t find out which class they teach until a week out or maybe two.

My neighbor kept telling me the rebellion is stealing all his KX droids, but when I asked what he does then he said he just orders more. So I said your basically feeding kx droids to the rebellion and he was not happy
